An ordinary high school student Jaein becomes a ‘Holder’ who kills and gains time.

Misery and misfortune have come knocking into 19 year old Jaein’s life. The death of his father is followed by the sudden and the death of his mother from a rare disease. And to make matters worse Jaein himself is terminally ill. The one relative that he has left is trying to blackmail Jaein of the insurance money by using his little sister, who is blind.

The situation overwhelms Jaein. While asleep he dreams of a pair of crimson eyes looking down upon him. A shadowy monster like figure that calls himself ‘D’ offers to extend his life by 7 days for every one person Jaein kills. When Jaein’s life is extended for 7 days, he gains the ability to read people’s intentions. After Jaein indirectly causes the death of his grandfather he meets detective Taeoh. The detective knows Jaein’s secret and tells him about the ‘holder’ people who like Jaein imprison monsters inside them. Taeoh convinces Jaein to use his gift for others by solving cold cases. This all changes when he meets the profiler John that works in the department. Only Jaein can stop John’s diabolical plan.
