Though, seriously, even the eye-candy is not worth it (unless you blank out all the dialogues, I guess). As far as I am concerned that's the only thing this manga has going for itself, but the story just fills me with this indescribable rage that even the eye-candy is not enough to placate me.

The story is full of cliches. I didn't actually expect anything better from this manga. I agree with @kurosu yuki at some part. Your average student-teacher relationship. Though, it was funny at some parts and I liked that a lot! But I didn't really expect Nagi to Meh, who cares...
The artwork was great, but I had to kinda get used to it because I don't know for some reasons at first I couldn't like it. The cover image seems to portray the absolute opposite of Riku's personality. At first I thought he was gonna be the devilish type (with others, at least) like I read in Dounimo Naranai but he actually turned out to be the crybaby and weak-ass emotional seme.

This manga has it all! Plus the relationship is super down to earth and realistic. Even when they're having sex! I love lovelovelovelove the uke. He's super sexy and sadistic and he doesn't take none of Riku's shit LOL. This yaoi is such a breath of fresh air from those crybaby girly little kid ukes. Seriously. My only complaint about this (because the relationship dynamics are perfect) is that it's too short and I didn't really feel like the relationship chemistry was really developed as well as it could be. I loved the moment when "unrequited love" became requited and the fact that even though it was super romantic, they could totally break the romantic tension by making a joke or laughing. I don't even think I can return to normal yaois after this. This has ruined me. Everything just seems super dramatic and sentimental and way too emotional and unreal after reading such a perfect realistic relationship. The uke can hold way more than his own, and I love the idea of an inexperienced seme. Finally a yaoi where it's not just some guy shoving his dick into everything and expecting it to feel amazing for the uke too. CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW HOT NAGI (THE UKE) IS OMG. Also super sadistic. <3333 I love that Riku slowly becomes a masochist. About Riku's character, I really thought he'd be more composed and less loveydovey/stars-in-his-eyes in love with Nagi. He seemed pretty composed from the beginning, but as he realized his love he became the guy who confesses first and is super straightforward about his love. Which I like, but I wish he got a little more serious at times. Okay, well, there ARE times where he really does get serious with Nagi, and then it's all kyaaaa shit's going downnnn! I also really really really wish he kind of became sadistic with Nagi too (but I guess if you're not sadistic it's hard to become sadistic?) to get back at Nagi because Nagi actually blushes a couple times because of what Riku does/says about him and IF IT WERE ME I would love to make him blush more. I just love seeing sadistic guys slowly start to crack <3 But I guess that's cuz I'm sadistic. Riku's just too nice and innocent for his own good! Seriously, that's how Nagi takes advantage of him. I love how Nagi brings his anger toward Riku to the classroom haha.
Overall, great sex scenes, laugh-out-loud funny, totally rereadable, and really sweet and realistic.

This is such a freakingly funny manga. i love the chibi version of the seme - it make the cute seme even cuter. the dynamic between the super sadistic uke and super cute airhead seme make me laugh for the whole volume. even with all the laughter, there is some part that make my heart go really heavy and make me teared up, i really love that aspect in a manga that make the reader experience various emotions. and i never see a 'quick cummer' of a seme before! this is certainly an above average yaoi.

Hmm, it looks like there's a really diverse opinion about this series. For me though, I really enjoyed this one. First of all, the art is AMAZING. It's so clean and sharp. The humor in this is nice and overall refreshing. The smut's reallly nice. (probably why I loved it so much) I wouldn't recommend this for someone looking for a deep plot or anything. I also wouldn't recommend this for someone who doesn't want to see lots of graphic body parts. The drama parts in this were just eh, but the rest made it up. This yaoi really stuck in my head for a long time surprisingly. I got really obsessed with it and started checking out the mangaka's other works and was not disappointed. This is a good read and something you should check out. 09.5/10

I love this one, very good plot, quite refreshing, with a background, interesting characters which pin your attention, make you laugh and aroused sometimes ;p this guys are hot! drawings - eyecandy and huge amount of fun.

I'll definetly pick up other works of this mangaka. I'm fulfiled. Or maybe not? I think I wanna more ^^

This story is just smut and tsundere and moe and fluff barrellrolled into one. Add a touch of utter ridiculousness in chapter 3 or 4 (man was Riku's dad a nice guy) and that's Oni ni Hatsujou.

(The 'moe' is the seme, though he's not moe for me; I just mean that when I think of the term 'moe,' I generalize it as this kind of character.) Probably between a 6.5 to 6.8 for me; can't decide on what scale of pointless fluff it belongs to, but it's decent enough pointless fluff. The flashback was a bit too much for me, though; I was just like "what." through the entirety of high school!Nagi's "intro."

In part, when I say "pointless fluff," I mean that unless you read fluff to give you an up for the day or it's the type of yaoi you particularly like, it's just kind of...pointless... Unless you like smutty yaoi, I suppose; then it has good smut in terms of yaoi manga, so not so pointless there.

I'm a sucker for a good character and good chemistry in a story. This story had neither. It had a little potential, but overall I felt only irritation for the characters. They were too simplistic, and not in a fun way.

I won't read this again, nor do I recommend it unless you want something that is in no way involving or very interesting.

But the art wasn't bad, so I give it a 4.

Hot love scenes, and it's hilarious as Hell ! Riku is both incredibly cute and hilarious, and Nagi has the sweetest and funniest (kinda tsundere) personality. Some situations and some lines seriously had me laughing myself sick...
