Shallow plot but cute characters

All in all I enjoyed this. It really wasn't all that unique of a plot and mostly centered around sex, but I enjoyed the clumsy characters, the experimentation, the fact that they both were close in height (no super big seme and super small uke) and the adorable art style. (I'm also a sucker for rivals turned lovers TBH...) If you have a bit of time and want to read something cute, I'd recommend giving this a read. 🙂

An enjoyable read about two really cute guys who are hot for each other but still can't seem to get along....a very fun read. They basically have no idea what they are doing but one thing is clear, there is electricity between them. Their first kiss was so sexy, I was bleeding from the nose. I found their progress to be realistic and had a good pace. There was a plot, ups and downs of two young and inexperienced guys falling for each other in a hopeless place where there is competition and pride involved. Highly recommend it.

Not a fantasy yaoi

This is one of my favourite shounen ai manga. I say shounen ai, because even if it's got sex in it and it's labeled as yaoi, for once it was actually about the characters and exploring their feelings for each other. It doesn't feel like a typical yaoi at all. It actually started out very realistically; handjobs. Whenever do you see handjobs in a yaoi!? Almost never! They always jump straight into the sparkly buttsex.

Well, there's an actual pace in this manga, which is why I love it. The main character, Kasukabe, loves being popular, so he tries to act cool and collected to gain favours with everyone, even though he's really just a wimp. But there's another guy (Misato) who's getting more popular than him, and it annoys the hell out of Kasukabe, so he starts a rivalry with Misato.

On a day where Misato is trying to escape his fangirl following, Kasukabe hides him. One thing leads to another, and Kasukabe tries to act all cool and experienced as he kisses Misato.Kasukabe is actually super inexperienced, much like Misato, but he pretends to know what he's doing, whereas Misato just keeps getting more flustered. Afterwards, they do a lot of kissing in secluded spaces, with Kasukabe jerking Misato off (Kasukabe doesn't allow Misato to jerk him off).

Ok, maybe I'm biased - I love stories that start with two guys having a rivalry and then act this out in sexual ways, and start giving each other handjobs (my OTP pairing is exactly like this), and this manga definitely filled in a spot I could never find in any other yaoi.

The only problem I have with this manga, is that it should have been longer. Kasukabe never shows his flustered and panicked side, so Misato has only seen him as calm and collected, when his inner personality is anything but, and that annoys me because Misato never gets to know that side of him.

Other than that, it's a great manga about two guys fooling around with each other, not knowing what they're in for as they steadily fall for one another. I really recommend reading it if you love shounen ai. Not so much if you're a huge yaoi fan because as I said before, it's not your typical yaoi at all (hence the reviews that call this 'overrated', they expected something else).

i love their characters, both of them are adorable in their own way. i also pleased with the plot progression, there is no unnecessary drama or love triangles, just the teasing between two boys which i find low key but still stimulating.

nice to read for a quick moe.

Unexpectedly good

By the summary you might just think this is just any other cliché yaoi manga. But this one was unexpectedly good! I was hooked from the first chapter to the last. For some reason, when it was complete it became one of my favorties right away.
The story wasn't really that special, but for some reason I really liked it.
But one of the best points this manga has is the fact that the seme and uke is hard to figure out. The only reason I thought Kasebe was the seme, was because he was a sadist, and more dominant than Misato. Though, whenever Misato actually pushed Kasebe down I would be hesitating about my opinion...
The art is also great! It's a cute kind of art. In a good way, I really liked it.
I've already read this manga countless of times, it's really that good.
One of the things that this manga is lacking are the sex scenes! I mean, there are plenty of sex scenes (or maybe jerking/sucking off scenes), but they could have been longer, especially the actual sex scene. And in the extra chapter they skipped it sigh The mangaka is too shyy~~

No, seriously, it's really, really good- go read it. Not cliche or boring at all, and the characters are great! Katsukabe is so quirky and fun, and Misato is adorable. It may be a little role-reversal considering the seme-uke designation, but the mangaka pulls it off amazingly well- there's none of that awkward uhh, this doesn't seem right sort of feeling. And let me just say, this isn't super graphic or anything, but this manga seriously gets my heart going more than something really smutty, lol. The character expressions are just drawn out really well (did I mention the clean, cute art?), and I'm a sucker for a well-done blushing face... and although there's no plot outside of the experimentation thing, and although it's really short, this is definitely a memorable manga that's going to stick with me for a long time. So, yeah. Go and read it. 😀

I can absolutely second moeanao's comment about the summary sounding cliché. However, somehow the characters turned out to be COMPLETELY different from the way they were portrayed in the beginning. It didn't feel out of place though, I found their intimate characters quite credible and fitting. Also, the facial expressions drawn by KISARAGI Manami are excellent. This was utmost entertainment. Read it!

This manga is funny, intriguing and keeps one interested from start to finish!
The way the characters are portrayed is a bit uncommon and it's very refreshing!
This is a fun to follow bully-the-one-you-like story and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Cool senpai (seme) × Begging kouhai(uke)🌝 Enemies to lovers!! I like how there was no unnecessary drama or misunderstanding. Very satisfying read!!🤌😌 Seeing this from the seme’s pov was also very entertaining!

ngl i was seeing that sadism masochism vibe early on and idk why im not usually a fan but i find it so funny here like it really adds to some of the comedic impact of this story, and seeing it like confirmed made me chuckle

I just wish that we got to see more of them being lovey-dovey and acting like a couple 😭💔
