Feels like an off-brand of One-punch man. 40+ chapters in and there hasn't been much progress in the story or any explanation to the background of the male lead. His motivations just appears to be simping for a random woman he meets at a clinic after travelling from somewhere.

All of that would be fine if the villains and fight scenes compensated for the lack of story but the fights aren't cool or comedic and none of the villains are memorable as each one acts like throwaway bandits in a story.

It might get better in like 100+ chapters but honestly the mystery isn't really appealing since every chapter feels like a filler. The whole story feels like I was given a Korean rice bowl, but the more I eat from the bowl, the more I realize there's only white rice.

Its missing a slice of life tag. I've read it through 35 chapters there is no significant progress in story.
We still don't know much about the protagonists and their pasts.
Just that a few new characters are introduced. Its getting kind of boring seeing how the author is trying to keep a small mysteries hidden until this late in the novel. And the male protagonist behaviour is also a bit inconsistent.
