Nothing of this one-shot is sublime, IMO, but everything comes together, simple story, nothing wrong with it, is a one shot, nice ending, good art. It's the perfect one-shot, a light read that should please most, unless you ask for things that shouldn't be in a one shot (read comment below).

Having one amazingly drawn wyvern won't salvage a story.
I didn't expect much out of all this but seriously, if this is attempting to be a story then the mangaka needs to polish the storytelling skills for at least a few months. I know another work : Hideout from the same mangaka that sounds much more interesting than this.
Almost no plot, no twists, no turns, unidimensional characters...
What else is there to say? It gets a generous 5 and likes it.

ah, the art! i would die for this art, it kept me captivated. my eyes were glued to the wyvern becuase it look so damn beautiful. this is a simple story of a boy and his mentor, and the art took it to a whole new level.
it is tragedy though, and it left a sad, hollow feeling after finish reading it. thank god it don't emphasised on that espect but the relationship between them.

i should not let my curiousity get the better of me. this manga, despite its grandeur art, is a child story! only with gore! well, its something you listen from your granpa when you are about to sleep in your child age. the characterization is weak, all are straight but shallow. the story development, while made many path possible, still easily expected. if you like eye candy, despite its empty content, this is for you.
