Didn't get me crying, but was still cute and angsty!

At first, I thought it was the ordinary cliché about a student falling in love with his teacher and hated it. Also, I thought it was kinda childish (I'm sorry, but I’m not really into young ukes. Especially when they're cheerful and stuff). But as the story was developed, I started to indeed feel sorry for Yuka. And as soon as Gotou started to respond to his love...it was the cutest thing ever!
I love the way Gotou's so responsible even if he pretends he doesn't care, and how he tries to get Yuka's attention off whatever could make him sad.
But there's just something about they're relationship that's really sweet...I like the way it got more intense slowly, and not rushed up.
But what I liked the most is the contrast between their ages. It’s not like some mangas out there that a grown up man and a kid are just the same. Gotou has doubts, problems, internal conflicts…but also desires that he doesn’t know if it’s right to fulfill. He takes a long time to make a decision and is hesitant about everything because he knows the pressure of their relationship. And ever more adorable than that is how he can’t stand to be away from Yuka and feels the need to touch him and just love him.
The words Ougi-sensei chose are also so right! I love mostly the way Gotou sweet talks to Yuka. “All I can think of is you”, “I think of you and start shaking” and stuff like that…the best!
Oh! And I love how they invert their thoughts! The sex machine Gotou becomes such a cry-baby when it’s about Yuka; and the innocent and naïve Yuka, on the other hand, gets quickly into sex!
I’m rating it 9, based on common teacher-student stories and how this one was so different!
PS: I love Yuka’s grandmother! She’s such a nice person!
PS 2: samurailynn, I’m proud of you, little beginner! You’ll eventually find yourself addicted to yaoi =P (‘m warning: it might be dangerous! XD)
PS 3: As for "The Man in Kabuki City", I loved it! It was real sweet (although the art and genital parts' art was kinda disgusting). But I love the kind of seme Aoi is and I also love the kind of story where a host falls in love. But it could be bigger and have more angst. Btw...does Ougi-sensei like the gazettE? 'Cause...Aoi, Yuu and Yamada?! O.O

Probably the best you can get by Ougi Yuzuha, and I´ve almost read all of her works.
I loved the story, it had more depth to it than I thought and the Characters was likeable. Not annoying. Also, the sidestory in chapter 5 was good too, although I would´ve liked more development on that one.
This definitly belongs to one of my favorites by Ougi and it could´ve been even better if the author decided to make a sequel. Recommended.

I don't usually like student/teacher stories but it always seems to be different when Ougi-sensei does it. The story that is told is quite nice and as mentioned there are some points that are "heart-wrenching". Ougi's art just doesn't get old, ever.

I went into reading this without expecting much.
This was such a pleasant surprise! It's a very deep, moving story!
The student-teacher relationship is well told and not rushed like you know it from many yaoi manga where they just jump right into bed with each other.
Instead, the romance slowly builds up between the characters and you get to feel the tension and sparks.
I often have problems liking characters in student-teacher yaoi because it ends up feeling too forced, or there's abuse involved, but here, both characters are very well thought out and portrayed very lovably.
While it is lovingly romantic on the outside, the darker background topics just add incredibly well to the dramatic story-flow.
Bullying, the mother having a new family and not wanting her child, being alone, being blamed for things in the past and worrying about the grandmother - the only person who cared for him - who is now in hospital.... Yuka has a very hard and sad life, but he's still trying to be cheerful and happy every day.
The art is gorgeous, the story very deep and captivating and the characters all together extremely lovable! There's drama, jealousy and it's sexy, what more could you want?
It also made me cry!

I'm disappointed that it took me this long to write a comment about this, but back on topic..
I love this manga so much! Gotou-sensei...mmm, sexy. And Yuka -- adorable. I gave this a 10/10 because I love the art, the characters, and i think the storyline was, 'cuse me is, greatness! It's cute but it has it's serious moments as well. I liked how you see both point of views; and hell, i'm a fan of a jealous seme. X3 if you haven't read this, your missing out!
thank you Ougi Yuzuha!

Ah, well the art is a bit more delicate than I normally go for, but it was some how very fitting and lovely. The story started off a bit sad, but it picked up. The side story here was cute as well, and every one (except Ishihara, sorry buddy) gets a fairy tale ending.
Somehow, the more I read, the more the art style grew on me. The way the artist uses it makes it even better. Some of the images were just really touching.
The way that Yuka put up with the bullying and didn't want to worry Gotou, the way Gotou was constantly thinking of what his relationship should be, guardian, teacher or something more, it was all really drawing me in. I want to read more by this author.

Out of all Ougi's stuff. It's funny, without silly gags. It's cute, without girly puking moments. AND it super hot, without much kink unfortunately LOL.
I actually teared up at some moments like his mother and the whole "don't look at me" thing. The kid's innocence gets to you.

For me, this is one of those stories, that I forget the next day after reading. But I remember, it has a good *smut* and funny plot, cute characters, so i had read it at a stretch.
Other stories from the author (Ougi Yuzuha) are similiar in genre with that one. So, if you liked it - try the rest manga from her. Personally I like them all.
