Tanaka Yuya, a first-year high school student, has an older brother, Hayato, but he has always had a hard time getting along with him. He is also uncomfortable with the friends and girlfriends that Hayato, who is the complete opposite of his type, brings home every day. When they come over to the house, Yuya tries to stay in his room to avoid getting involved with them.

One day, he hears Hayato and his friends talking about their views on love from behind a wall. Yuya is impressed by “Kakimoto-san's” view on love, who says, “I don't want a girlfriend, I just want to be with someone I like.”
