This one is a nice change of pace in many senses. Other than it being a fairly cliched revenge story with a fairly decent MC whom so far is quite balanced and the art-style and flow of the art being good, this manhua has a cultivation based setting but the MC can't cultivate, and surprisingly it doesn't take 2 chapters and a miracle encounter of some sort to cure him. That's the first nice change of pace compared to similar manhuas, then, the amount of fighting is very small, it's more heavily based on dialogue which again is a nice change since the dialogues are actually good or at least decent (hard to tell at times since the translation has some issues). Also, the isekai condition of the MC is not thrown out of the bat and is rarely mentioned. Add too that that so far there are no miracle power-ups nor pills or artifacts and you don't have every single unimportant char screaming "trash" "trash" every three words which for some reason is manhuas and manhwas favourite word.
Sum all that and you get a pretty consistent world, story and characters with a martial arts and cultivation setting, as Kami_T says, this one is among the best in the genre.
This is going to be a quick review of Jiang Ye. I've read many manga/manhua about reincarnation and cultivation and this is one of the better ones out there. At first, it's hard to follow and can be confusing because the author does a poor job of explaining the world and the power system in it. But after a few chapters, things tie into each other better and the story becomes more clear.
As for the MC he is one of the more enjoyable ones I have encountered (not in all manga but when it comes to reincarnation/cultivation manga). He is not too OP (He is pretty damn strong from the start but he has a ways to go) and will have to struggle to get stronger. Also so far there have been no BS power ups. As far as his personality goes he can be pretty cold blooded but for the most part, he's pretty chill.
The art picks up along the way as well. It can be inconsistent but for the most part, it's good.
One of the best things about this manhua is that it has some decent fights. Most of the fights aren't just finished within a couple of pages so that's a plus.
I would recommend it for people who are looking for a story that has revenge and goes along the lines of the MC starts at the bottom and will eventually reach the top (in terms of strength and social status).
