Perfect cliffhanger.

First off I've read most comments I suggest you ignore alot of the criticisms pertaining to shonen save the world MC / story. This is one of the rare MC who are down to earth, grounded mature and completely rational and logical. Given the context of his upbringing and environment he prioritises his village over the "fated" world destroying plotline. To where if the problem doesn't directly concern his tribe and vision to unify the desert then other can deal with it.

Also I suggest you ignore arguments that the story doesn't have direction because those are outdated and I'm sure even they don't feel that way anymore. The plot has always been he want to unify the desert and defeat the enemies greatest warrior. I'm oversimplifying the plot whilst not giving anything away.

The plot can be distant at times and be very secretive in some occasions, sometimes not explaining alot but it's WITH PURPOSE, most is answered later on while some will not be completely explained. Red storm is the first of a couple of others stories as part of a larger plot.

The ending was phenomenal and completely consistent to the plot to where it almost feels like Naruto. There's also a nice cliffhanger. Also our MC grows in MANY ways including raw power, but not too outrageous that he snowballs the plot, although he's fated to have no upper limit but u will understand. Red storm blurs the line between villians and heroes to where no such thing exists, you grow to love those who you feel you shouldn't be supporting.

Most importantly as you start and finish this story you truly feel the weight of all the sacrifices, trials, tribulations, triumphs and failures that leads to the fulfilling end. Red storm is truly a journey that makes you feel the growth of maturation. To anyone reading it you must read the whole thing to understand how full the work is.

I am adding this comment here to make one thing clear. One of the main reasons that I ended up not having really high opinion of this story, could be because this typo of story was just not my type of story.. which kind of contradicts with the fact I read the whole story and even wanted more. I am not one to keep reading something just because I started it or even because if it popular. One example I can think of is how I dropped The gamer at roughly after 120 chapters, even if it was suggested by people as a good read. I suggest people to give this story a try and decide for themselves.

For now I am about halfway through the story. I am quite shocked from the fact I am still interested in this. It is totally different from what I expected when I started reading it and honestly I thought I would have given up by now, but that is not the case at it seems. The more at times I find it not to my taste, the story keeps making me want to read the next chapter. The only other time I remember me reading something that does not really fit my tastes, but I could not stop reading, was Berserk. Obviously I do not mean they are of the same quality, but nevertheless this keeps me from shrugging it off and moving to something fit more to my tastes.

There are some parts that feel quite forced in and a religious part that made me facepalm a bit, but afar from that in general the story keeps pulling me in. I will add one more part after I finish it and maybe revise the rating then.

-Edit-
So I finally finished this. For starters, the reason I left a review on this, was because even if this manhwa did not seem appealing to me, it kept me to the end and if anything, I was sad there was no more after it ended.

Now the reason I gave it as low as 7. Even if the story and concept was nice, it still felt a lot of times cumbersome to read through. The biggest problem I had was that I could not hear the tone of the voice behind the characters. I know that it is weird to say, but usually when I read a manga/manhwa, depending their expressions or even the shape of the bubbles, I can "hear" different emotions and even sometimes different voices in my head. 90% of the time in this was, what I was reading was monotone. I am not really an expert on art. but I feel the main reason was indeed the way the character expressions were drawn. If it was not that, it could be either the dialogue was not written that well (or to my taste) or the actions just did not really resonate with me.

I can definitely tell though that at least for me, it did not attract me to read fully immersed and joyously. I kept looking what chapter I was at and it felt I was dragging myself a lot of times to keep going to see what will happen next. I would even think on another case that it might have been how I was reading through so many chapters of the same story in one go, but that is not the case. I have went through manhwa with way more chapters than this, like currently Martial Peak that I am way past chapter 500 and I do get shocked how fact I reached there.

All in all, I still believe the story seems really interesting and like I said at the beginning, people should give it a try.

Messed up story lineup

The whole plot continues to disappoint ...it never had any clear goal to begin with and as the story progresses it becomes even more confusing, usually most of the Korean manhwa lacks substance to begin with, there is usually no depth and maturity in them when compared with Japanese manga and this one series even more horrible at this
Anyone reading this series for fight scenes and protagonist growth from weak to strong or the art etc might enjoy it initially but the thrill won't last for long
Other than that there is a lack of continuity in scanlation which can make you forget few major and minor plots or sub plots and confuse u even further so I would recommend to add the series in wish list and read in one go when it is all over

Solid manga

I'm about 120 chapters in so far, and I would say this manga is pretty solid. If you want a generic shounen, "save the world" kinda manga, this is for you. The main character is likable and dorky, and so are the side characters. I genuinely find myself chuckling at the sometimes-morbid humor.
The pacing and fight scenes are both good as well. My biggest complaint however is that it can spend 30+ chapters on an arc, complete it 90% of the way, and then gloss over the remaining 10% with no sort of real closure and call it good. But overall, this isn't the worst manga I've read. It's definitely good binge material, and it reminds me of DBZ to an extent.

Nice surprise

I had little expectations for this one and I'm being pleasently surprised so far.
It starts of as a generic and rather simple/shallow shounen manga but it develops and grows in size, all in positive ways and while maintaining certain coherence which is rather uncommon. It's certainly not the most original manga out there but rather a good mix, has a bit of Kingdom in there too, less grand and with a fantasy setting of course.

75 chapters in and this series has been awful; the fighting is nothing to write home about, the characters don't make sense, and the story is laughable.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The main character's master is transported to an alien world with multiple moons, monsters containing magic stones, and all other sorts of mysteries. He then proceeds to spend 3 years in an insignificant desert village to train some random kid and never once explores the surrounding world....

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
40 chapters of awful writing in and the master is finally point-blank told his reason for being transported here. He doesn't research nor try to figure it out; he's simply put in a room with books that explain the world and a "Lord Miyuk" answers his prayers. Fast forward another 30 chapters and he's babbling about being a rhino horn and knowing everything there is to know about this world...

I unfortunately kept reading with the expectation that things would get better. Sadly, Red Storm does not. I'm curious how this series got so many 10s despite these obvious faults.

Any Action Lover should be reading.

Is this series worth spending your time reading it? Let me ask you something, do you love a thrilling feel, a great adventure, Characters who are loyal and have great personalities, Characters who have goals to reach, Amazing action packed series, Amazing art, well done characters, and growth for all the characters you care about? If so... This series is 100x worth it, and if you like action or any type of fighting series, then this series is still 100x worth it.

If you're searching desperately for a series and you come across this, let me tell you. Just forget about the search and pick up this manhwa. You will love this series so much, it is far too addicting. Every moment is filled with a sharp thrill. Every moment makes you want to continue reading and yearn for more, and more chapters! The enjoyment aspect is the highest out of everything I have ever read.

A great bonus of this series is the well written and likable main character. He isn't as naive as most shounen main characters to reject the idea of war, or taking the life of someone who posses a threat to you or your people. He isn't an idiot either. I'd say he is pretty smart, but also a muscle head. He has plans and ideas. He thinks for himself and doesn't let the world influence his own ideas, he will do what he must to guarantee the safety of what he must protect. Also anyone who is usually a support loving character type, will love the supporting characters who travel with the main character.

The only downside to reading this, is that there is only 165 chapters up to now. I would love there to be an extra 1000! or even 2000!

I also believe this series to be highly underrated. Both in rating wise and popularity. It should have tens of thousands of more readers. It should have at least an 8.75 - 9.0 overall rating.

Yulian's father had three wives. One of them died in some manner. That was Yulian's birth mother. The two remaining wives are his step mothers. He refers to one of them as mother. The other one is not so friendly to him because she is Pere's, Yulian's brother that wants to surpass him, mother. She wants her son to supplant Yulian as the next Glow so I doubt they have a good relationship, although it hasn't been covered yet.

What separates this one with a lot of fighting series is the humor, but also mainly the fact the MC isn't a jerk full of himself, a thing that I hate in this kind of manga/manhwa.
And the few times he tries to be arrogant, he is corrected to be a better being.
Aside from that, the universe is interesting, and a lot of characters are actually developed!
My only complains are how short the childhood arc was, as it could have been stretched a little, and also that some scenes lacks clarity and thus are difficult to follow.
