I really tried to see the good in this manhua but chapter 45 was just too stupid for me.
Actually the story doesn't even make sense to begin with. Supposedly
I overlooked the Crow's character from the start too. He's one of those edgelords who doesn't care about saving innocent people and only wants money. At the beginning a woman about to get killed is begging him to save her and he refused because she didn't have enough money. He lets tons of innocent people die because he doesn't give a shit about them. But then he somehow becomes a nice guy for Virgil? Sorry that just makes no sense. It feels like one of those stupid fantasies where an evil guy who doesn't care about anyone suddenly turns into a nice guy for this one girl. I was able to look past that until chapter 45 which was just unbearably dumb. Urgh. I feel like my IQ dropped 15 points from reading this.

The last straw for me was when the Old Man used some passcode to forcibly take control over Crow's body and then somehow when Virgil scribbled some word on Crow's arm it somehow made Crow regain control over his body? What kind of forcible override system would even allow for such a thing to be possible?

the Old Man and Crow had some kind of "agreement" but if the Old Man can just wipe Crow's memories and re-inject him with consciousness and also use a passcode to directly control him then that kind of renders the word "agreement" meaningless since he can just make Crow do whatever he wants.

Really good comic! It always keeps me on the edge of my seat. It’s not perfect but it’s still fun, even with how dark it is.
I wish the scanlator would post an update about future releases tho, since there hasn’t been one in over a year even tho there are still plenty of chapters to translate.
