Aaand another disappointment enters the dropped list. What we have here is an exhibit on almost every single romance trope written poorly (slight exaggeration due to how bad it felt to read it).

This is not a superpower story with romance. This is purely a romance story using superpowers as excuses to force "intimacy". Her (and presumably 50% of the superpowered population) power is literally touching other superpowered people to make them not go crazy. And the author milks it hard to force "intimacy", presumably because they have no idea how to write a romance without something forcing it.

A shame. I do like returner stories.

The pacing falls apart in the second half

It starts out as a typical guideverse story with the common tropes and pitfalls associated with guideverses. Then in the second half the pacing falls apart and turns into a speedrun to the finish line. I haven't read the novel so I don't know if this was part of the original work or a choice by the people doing the manhwa adaptation
