Description

One day, Nanako Ichigotani is suddenly confessed to by Yuki Agasa, a junior in her club and the most brilliant prince in school. Surprised by his sudden confession, the airheaded Nanako decides to go out with Agasa-kun saying, "I'll be troubled if you die!"

Anyway, Agasa-kun, who has a lot of love, has an abnormal obsession and sense of possessiveness, and has no mercy for the bad bugs that get close to Nanako! A doting school love comedy with an dense, airheaded girl and a yandere boyfriend who is overly affectionate!

At first, I didn't have high hopes for it. But upon reaching chapter 2, I decided to continue my read. The ML's inner monologue strings me along with intrigue regarding his intentions and how far he's willing to take this unhealthy relationship with the FL. Also the fact that the FL's friends were wholly against the relationship from the get-go, unlike what can be seen in the side-characters in Koharu no Hibi, was a nice break from other yandere romance manga I've come across. Additionally, the FL doesnt just roll with the yandere's possessive atittude, she's written to genuinely not know any better, which is entirely unrealistic, but we must assume a suspension of disbelief for a potentially good read. As the story progresses, I anticipate that the FL might become fed up with the restrictions and outrageous conditions placed upon her relationship by the ML.

The scanlation groups don't do the best translating the manga, so some of the dialogue was awkward and confusing to follow at times. Keep that in mind when reading this in English.

An interesting yet head-scratching continuity error occurs in chapter 3 in which the newly introduced character Eiri's phone has one camera on the back, but on the very next page it has three cameras. The same exact thing happens to the ML's phone at the end of chapter 3 and the beginning of chapter 4.

Overrall, Agasa-kun wa Yande Iru is okay. It's nothing horrible or spectacular. It's already complete with 3 volumes, but as of this writing, only 6 chapters are available in english.
