Extremely complicated.

I read the manga and once I finished, I have no idea what is going on. I understand the basic premise but the story itself dwells into more complicated theories that one has to reread or know about time traveling mechanics and paradox to fully understand.

A nice read but like most time travel stories it has its flaws

It's definitely something worth reading since it's only 2 volumes long, and it's better than another certain time travel manga I read, but it's not without its flaws. As with most time travel stories, the mechanics of the actual time travel can be difficult to write since you are trying to be original, and most of the time the author goes into complicated pseudo science that the reader can have difficulty grasping the first time reading it.

The plot itself is interested, with the Shinji-like main character who wants to run away and she develops into a well rounded character by the end of it, but the manga was a bit too fast for this kind of development. The other characters are pretty flat except for Rikuo, and near the beginning any scene involved with him confuses the reader if they are reading it for the first time.

I suggest you read it and if you have the time, read it again so that you can understand everything.

It's a good idea, and it mostly made sense but..
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I thought she liked Rikuo..but in the end she's with Makana-kun? Uhh i know i read it fast but, idk the story wasn't very smooth. I mean I like that's it's unorthodox and all but if I don't really understand what happened then it doesn't really matter that it was a unique story because I did not understand it.

Fascinating and unsettling

Am I the only person who got progressively more creeped out as it went along? I started out reading it thinking that the protagonist was a total wuss, and kind of annoying, and I honestly expected something simple, like Groundhog Day style stuff where a single day repeats over and over, and the protagonist eventually learns some moral lesson. But no.

It's actually an unsettlingly written manga that delves into occasional philosophical thoughts. The girl, Toko, is the kind of person who tends to want to run away from things, and on August 31, she really, really doesn't look forward to September 1st because of a reason that gets revealed slowly later on. Toko can also 'back-step'--travel backwards through time, but not intentionally. It happens when she wants to get away from something, or run away. It turns out her back-stepping isn't exactly time-travel backwards; it's more like sliding sideways into a parallel world, to a slightly earlier time relative to the current one.

The manga uses the premise that time is a fractal, where every single human being's possible action can be distilled to two paths (do or do not), and every single action thereafter branches the same way until there are infinite possibilities. Toko's ability to time-step can have hefty consequences on all the worlds, since apparently time's fractal construction can be interfered with by another fractal, if Toko herself is at the center of it. This is the reason why there is someone who is going after Toko, in an attempt to stop her.

The manga, in summary, is extremely complex. But the tangles do get somewhat untangled, and the knots are untied, if not severed at times, so reading through the manga mainly takes some patience (like another reviewer said), and possibly a taste for time travelling, nigh-paradox situations (Primer, anybody?). It manages to be unsettling as well, from the way it is written, and it generates a lot of this creepiness from the subtle and unsubtle changes in the characters as Toko backsteps through and into more and more parallel worlds where things turned out differently. All the 'what-ifs', and scenarios where you wished you did something, and you wondered how life might have turned out...it's that kind of feeling.

Read it if you have time. It isn't a cheap snack manga; it's a meal with very complex flavors, and if you lazily skim through it, you'll miss the meat.

Here's hoping for more translations of it!

It's confusing at first but keep going at it and it certainly gets better. The pieces start coming together and you discover that the manga's premise is actually pretty good. It does look like a Haruhi Suzumiya or The Girl that Leapt through Time at first but you'll find that they're pretty different - to the point that you'll appreciate this manga's own charm and wit.

TOO complicate

This manga is just too complicated ,and the pacing make the matter worse, to sum it up, you think the heroine is another Haruhi Suzumiya, and she, for some reason, constantly jumping between time and possible futures, the changing pace is really hard to follow, you may even want a paper to mark the time of events.
If you can understand the manga, i think the story is interesting, just that mangaka's telling is not good
