This doujinshi does feel half-baked indeed lol. It got kinda confused about the direction it wanted to take, and failed to establish a consistent overarching tone to set the mood for the story. In the end neither was it extra cute nor funny nor romantic, and it just couldn't make itself more charming and engaging for the audience at all. Every set of sequence was just kinda.. there, running through the motion and not having a lot of emotions behind it.
While we don't see a lot of action going on here even for a shounen ai and the art just dwindles into rough sketches at times, still I feel that the artist was almost there in terms of carrying out the romance between the two. I look forward to reading more of Kuuko's work.
