absolutely loved the first story. the chemistry between the two mains was great and it was really nice seeing them eventually fall for each other.

second story was alright. Yonemura-san was my sleeper hit favorite character from the first story and I almost died when I saw him heartbroken. A part of me wanted the first couple to split up so he could be happy LOL. Andou was a compelling character but this story was horribly under-developed in general. It needed it's own focus and volume so the characters could have more time interacting. It seemed rushed at this point, like the mangaka was trying to shove the two characters together anyway she could.

Last story was meh. Underdeveloped characters and underdeveloped story. Felt nothing. A miss.

For me the conbini store stories had ended with Yonemura-san’s story. After that, not only was the art style of the characters quite undistinguishable from Higashino’s and Nishiyama’s design, but also their personalities as well. There were some interesting moments in this collection centered around having conversations and talking things through – even in the last story which I did not like that much. I found it quite engrossing how Andou goes after Yonemura-san understanding how pushy he needs to be with Yonemura-san. In Higashino’s and Nishiyama’s relationship it’s also quite heartwarming to see how Nishiyama initiates a conversation about the relationship and the kind of relationship he would like to have.

First story is still the best one

I like how the mangaka expressed the gradual change in the relationship of the main couple in the first story - it felt exciting to see them slowly get to know each other's feelings, and not get into too much roundabout drama which is always a plus. The other two stories in the book I thought were less engaging tbh; probably has something to do with the fact that the characters aren't necessarily the types that I like and I naturally didn't care for them as much. Some issues in the narration could be improved too. Overall I'd say this was an okay read for me.
