Interesting story, gross art

Genuinely a thoughtful and moving story looking seriously at sexual trauma, religious trauma, and gender identity in modern-day Japan. There are some very interesting characters -- Leah in particular is a real fave, and Priest has totally been inspired by Allen Walker. However, the artstyle really skeeves me out 🙁 everyone looks simultaneously six-years-old in the face and twenty-years-old in the body. It's especially egregrious when a character called Mommy appears, and I kid you not, she's a toddler. The vibe I got from the art was Klee from Genshin (yeah :/) and given the kinds of story this manga is telling, I can't take that in good faith. I've checked out.

Manga is really good, and does get really dark too

The beginning chapter 1 is an extereme turn off, the kid recites bible shit and is like emotionless whereas his adopter is a ladies man despite him being a church person, he tells the kid to pursue love because of some shit. It has an extremely generic intro, but at the end of chapter 1 and continuing onwards, the mc has changed significantly, his personality is now is so much bearable, in fact i would say he is the favorite character alongside the femc, as they are different from one another, but are able to mesh extremely well together because of the writing.

In regards to how dark it gets, it gets much more dark after part 2, after that, u will see what i mean

Overall read this manga, the first chapter may be cringe, but you will never regret reading it all the way through, the writing becomes significantly better in chapter 2 and following. If you want a manga that has church people finally not be the bad guys and fight demons Read this manga, and you wont regret it

Chapter 25 and 26 and fucked up, its unique in how its fucked up, but bruh its fucked up.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
honestly, she ate her brother because at that point of time she was starving after 10 days, the brother should have been dead because beezlebub could not have fed the baby meat. Thus the baby would either have died along with the parents or died of starvation earlier, while that is still fucked up, its understandable why she ate her brother, as he was already dead and she was being forced into that predictament, ( this chapter really reminds me of the book alive)

Beezlebub
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
fight i really disliked, like i wished the author let him died to the church girl, like when she had the 5 mins thing on, as that would have made more sense, she would have studied everything about beezlebub during her time at the church and it would have made more sense for her to be able to defeat him easily.
Another thing i disliked was how beezlebub somehow became an angel and then suddenly lost because of the witch person doing some shit with the finger he had gotten in the earlier chapter. In regards to the angel bit, you would assume that God would have made a failsafe so no matter what a demon would not be able to injest a part of an archangel, even more so if that angel was a devil previously. Honestly i really disliked that whole arc, only thing i liked was how Golem was bad, but became good and when he died, it was really sad as he asked if he did a good job protecting femc,
What i also dont like is how they say the mc has gotten weak, like ya its unique as usually a mc gets stronger as they age, or at least become more wiser in their fights as a result of their experiences to make up for their lack of strength. But so far the mc does not do any of that, he just goes into everything head first. I wished it was explained why he was weak, also for a chosen child, he is weaker than what i expected as well, he is seemingly unable to defeat a devil on his own.
