It is true that he cant use magic like the other students. He can only use spirit arts(which is another type of magic used by demihumans in the story).

Another sub-par novel adaption

This starts off well enough. Nothing particularly unique but lets be honest if you're reading yet another isekai you know what you're in for. However after a strong beginning it quickly falls into the same trap as a lot of shoddy novel adaptions. It starts to randomly leave out plot, the protagonist starts school, then it jumps five years and he's finishing school but is still being referred to as a first year? He can't use magic and then literally a chapter later he's busting out crazy spells with absolutely no explanation and so on and so on. Skip it.

An Isekai without a harem would be something new, everything else has just become boring in my opinion. You just hear “Isekai” and think oh good, the next harem. The stories in the harems all develop in the same way. If you have read or seen one, you know what the others are like, the only exception for me is "Arifureta Gakuen de Sekai Saikyou". The Japanese authors should also know that far more non-Japanese people read their works and that other countries are not particularly into harems but rather romances. I honestly don't know why so many Japanese authors insist on harems in Isekai. If it wasn't such an obvious harem ending, I would definitely give the story nine or ten points. But who knows, the story is still going.

...while the original wn author writings wasnt bad overall, they got a ton of complaints even after serialzation about being too dark themed, obviously the light novel and manga are geared more towards r-12 audiences or r-15 readers but the intial feel of darkness reincarn while investigating/attacking human supremicy countries as final attacks towards selfish gods and demons is lost here and the only problem with wn was not having rio tell his child hood friends his person while said trash selfish (hero) wants to claim said girls for himself after finding out mc is said person which...well it was still good and while that plot never got anywhere and eventually before deletion the author finally allowed rio revenge against said evil against his mother while finding out more about the human supremicaes countries and demons previous takeover and god envolvement, just expect this manga to be more r-12 direction and leave out importmant info/plot that usually is left out with novel to manga translate cause of costs or shoddy pub deals or censoring, would also like to add as part of the darkness aspect that the author intro semi random reincarn/demi humans as slaves then mc acting as no reincarn but semi help rescuse delivery back home from said human supremists is a little off putting as setup for shadow hero type but typical with jp writers, the fact author goes into detail that said demi girl was 6-8 died, reincarn, little memory of happy family from previous life, happy to be rescued with mc acting high and mighty/superior but trash tsundere while dealing with said trash humans...
