Art improves over time, but story gets worse

Art starts off weak with problems with body proportions, lazy splash pages that are just drawings over real models, some backgrounds are from photos that have been run thru a filter, etc. The art does improve substantially in later volumes. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the story. It starts with some interesting ideas and a few mysteries. The main character taking "vitamins", the mysterious girl and suitcase that appears, artificial life, experiments at a secret lab, children with special abilities, and most significantly the question of whether a person that has committed serious crimes can really change. There was enough here to run for twice as many volumes and most of it gets tossed out the window and replaced with typical cliches and forced plot twists. Our hero ends up not being such a bad guy, our robot girl who doesn't have too much of a personality instantaneously out of nowhere gets an outgoing one, etc. There's also some questions that don't get answered like why did No.06 start to display more human emotions (was she evolving?), what was up with that suitcase, etc. The story felt like it changed and got a little rushed, which makes me wonder if the creator got bored with what he was working with or if some other things (maybe it was going to get axed?) forced him to finish it as he did. There was a lot of room to grow the story and some of the drama, instead it glossed over things and rushed to its conclusion. A little disappointing.

Since theses reviews were at the opposite extremes, I decided to write this.
Overall, the art has its unique feel, and you either get use to it and think its better by the end or not. The story line had its clique parts to it, but also threw in so nice surprises that you may or may not have seen coming. The action was normal nothing special or horrible. The characters had their own uniqueness to them that was quite refreshing but at the same time you knew the role that they were going to play. THUS in the end I finished it with a, "Well that was a pretty okay manhwa" feeling.
**Note** I downloaded this series so that I could read it without it being all out of order. Don't read unless it is in the correct order or you will hate it.

I loved this manwha.
Artwork is different, and feels drastically different in the beginning, but as you get used to it, you suddenly realize how amazing it is. The story itself is suprisingly deep and complex, and you have to think about it to understand it, but it's a cool story because of that. There are a variety of nice twists, that you could have seen, that you might have, but have a nice impact nonetheless. Some of the fighting scenes might have felt a bit stilted, but as you become used to the artwork, it doesn't feel that way anymore. The characters were fun, and the ending was a definite end, yet was still pretty open. Basically, I loved this manwha.

If you are looking for a story thats complete, that deals with cute girls, robots, and fighting. You might be tempted to look at this one. I say might be tempted. However the further you read, the dumber and more pathetic the story becomes. I forced myself to finish reading this and afterwards, immediately put it where it belonged. In the recycle bin.
The fights are all infuriating and predictable, full of the typical pathetic posturing you'd expect. The characters are poorly thought out, with only 1 of them being at all sympathetic or worth watching. Only problem is, she is with the biggest loser in the entire story. No, I definitely don't recommend this story. Unless you are really, really desperate.
