Yoshimi, a physical therapist, has just been transferred from a hospital in Tokyo to a rural one. One day, he passes by a man wearing white gloves. Stunned by the man’s almost illusion-like beauty, Yoshimi wonders if he’s seen a vision. But the man turns out to be Kuji—a real, handsome character and the young managing director of the funeral home next to the hospital. He’s so admired by the female staff that they let out squeals of excitement whenever he appears.
Yoshimi, concerned about a slight limp in Kuji’s left leg, begins to gradually close the distance between them by suggesting rehabilitation sessions. One evening, they have dinner together for the first time. Yoshimi ends up getting drunk and falls asleep at Kuji’s place. The next morning, he wakes up in the same futon, and seeing Kuji’s face so close—close enough that he thinks he might be kissed—makes his heart race uncontrollably…
