This is terrible manga. I did not ery much understand plot and the ending is very confusing!
But I love Karakawa-kun. He is so pretty! He was main reasong for my reading this manga... 😮 )

how many stories r running in this manga 😕 i got so confused as to who's shaggin who and who hates who and why...im glad i stuck with it though - despite the fact the karakawa-kun kidnapped thingy but still...I LOVE KARAKAWA-KUN!! YAY! (he looked better with long hair i reckon!) still confused tho... ^_^ total score 5/10 - not the best manga in the world but i still love karakawa-kun! he was the only reaso i kept reading :-)

pretty much of all my thoughts about this manga have been written by the previous comments and yes i agree with them. what made me give it a 1 was because not only did the storyline suck but also the art. i know that it was an old manga but even then, the proportions of the human body and face must be correct! seriously turn away...this manga is a waste of time...

Was i glad to finish this one. The manga is old so the art is nothing to really talk about, the real problem though is the story. It is so confusing at the beginning there is no way of knowing what is going on until almost the 3 volume and by then you cannot help but know that it will not end well.
On that note the OVA is more explanatory but it does not cover the entire manga so we are left with no end but at least a beginning.

I find most of this incomprehensable and totally confusing. i don't know if it is bad translation or just a bad story but i wasted time on this that i wish i had back.
if you are bored find something better.

as ppl b4 have mentioned, it really has nooo begining or end. Either it is due to bad translation, or the manga is just that much incoherent and lacking of any plot or character development. You can't even figure what the main conflict is in this whole 3 volumes!!!! Just save yourself some trouble, and don't read it, unless you understand japanese (maybe it makes some sense in the original version...=__=)

Fish in the Trap is incoherent. Very little is explained and there is no character development. The reader isn’t given a whole lot of insight into what the characters are thinking or feeling, which ruins any immersing effect the reader might enjoy since the characters never manage to become real. Whatever appeal there is with the whole dominant sempai and despairingly submissive kohai is lost when random characters show up and the storyline follows them, without explaining who they are and how they fit into the story. There are time jumps for these confusing characters, which try to reveal their past, but the reader never knows if they’re in the present or past and it all just melds together in one big cluster of confusion. The style of art is nice, but at times the human proportions seem a little sloppy.

I gave it a 4/10, simply because I was interested and hopeful long enough to read the first ten chapters. Also, I like Nekokichi Ranma’s style, but think the employment of a professional writer is necessary for any future works. The concept was good and original at times, but the construction was poor and discombobulated.

I wouldn’t recommend this manga. I doubt the confusion is in any part an issue with the translation, so I wouldn’t bother trying to rack your brain on this one.

Far too confusing to be enjoyable. Either it was translated horribly, or the actual story really isnt any good. I cant even explain to you what about it was so bad because the plot was too confusing! The beginning starts out easily enough, but then when it flashes forward to the future, its like WHOA, what just happened? Who are these people? What happened? Are there some pages missing? Not worth a glance.
