This was a major, major disappointment. Bland, boring, with a boilerplate and uninspired vanilla drawing style... And the worst part is that the book the manhwa is based on actually has some excellent plot points! I loved it how Thesar constantly has to see Senia die, and how it has emotionally destroyed him, how he wants to keep up the illusion of her living and not dying at least one in the hundreds and hundreds of times he has gone trough it... In this aspect, this thug-of-war and push and pull between them was a treasure tove of potential... Which was used very sparingly. I can't say it was totally glossed over, but the psychological depth of both Senia and Thesar was appallingly thin.

And yes, I dislike this drawing style. Thesar looks like a 16 year old teenager, and I could never imagine him as a handsome and very lethal Duke. Senia has great hairstyles, I will grant them that. But by far the worst part is the pacing... The manhwa moves at a glacial speed and doesn't have anything to make it up... No incredible visuals, no great atmosphere, no interesting side stories... Just blandness and a totally missed chance for some quality world-building. Even the main antagonist, the Crown Prince, is a paper cutout villain, and barely makes the mark. The characters are also lackluster and I barely even remember them.

No, skip this one! Not worth reading at all.

- that I won't bother going into details for because I don't think I'd rather waste more time on this. But I will say one thing. This has to be one of the most tamed josei I have EVER read.

The concept is great, but the ML is so psychopathically overbearing. The romance is unearned and there aren't any interesting characters besides the sister. The FL is fun, but very generic. The general plot just seems like shit happens so it can happen, without much for the reader to go off of..

The story takes around 10 chapters to start but when it does it becomes quite compelling ! The intriguing plot really is the main quality of this webtoon. As said below, the male lead is the one being reincarnated, and it brings something new to the subgenre. The story is actually more intricate than that, but it’s hard to talk about it more without spoiling anything. If you want an idea :

The characters are likeable, albeit a bit generic. The female lead is bold, sensible and courageous. The male lead is more complex : he’s caring and rather endearing, but also a villain as the title suggests. Their chemistry is cute, you’ll love them if you enjoy innocent/blushing couples.

It can be a bit difficult to get into it. Although it gets better, the art is off at the beginning (the male lead has the face of a girl), and it’s quite ridiculous. There’s also a lot of crying from the male lead. But thanks to the plot, it quickly becomes entertaining. I’m curious about what will unfold.
