I've only read 6 chapters of the manhwa so far and I can't stand how the FL is pushing her own feelings on this poor bastard in the North. Maybe it's the translation but I cannot stand "if I love him/make him fall in love with me he'll definitely heal from his heartache!" type stories/heroines.

From what I understand in the spoilers this Cold, Aloof ML of the North™ does some shitty ass things to this FL, too. But that does NOT cancel what the FL is doing in the first few chapters. Like, damn, girl have some self respect and interact with him like a normal person instead of always calculating ways to make him "fall in love" with you. Approach him like he's a complete and competent man, FFS.

So, yeah, no. I have to drop this due to how grating the FL is.

The art: This manhwa's vintage illustration is absolutely everything: the character designs (handsome hot Richt and pretty Peony), their emotional expressions, the outfits, the sceneries 🥺💕✨

The plot: there was a time i was sooo hooked with the stories: Peony's adventure to win Richt's heart. I love how she tries her best in her bubbly yet brave way, despite being hmm... your typical shoujo female lead. However, i just feel like we can't feel that Richt loved her enough or as much as she loves him. The former half where Peony got hurt by Richt, man, i was about to drop this series. The latter half of the story was also filled with political stuff here and there, which i don't particularly care of. The characters besides the our leads are actually rl likeable too, like the Empress and the side couple (Andy and Mary). For the first time, an ex-love interest of the ML is written to be actually sensible and loveable—that's rare. Also Love how there's a conversation between Peony and her past self, which expresses her struggle between choosing her old world and the novel world pretty well.

I just wish we can have more fluff, like see their children or Richt getting jealous, things like that... So i can finally be relived.

Overall, this webtoon was excuted well. 9/10

Ps: after reading Shygirlz and you guys comment, i'm glad that i see many similar opinions to mine: we want more amd more cute scenes! 89 chapters are not enough!

Bless this artist for their rendition of the novel, I remember how they said a few things were different, but from what I read, I would find the manwha far superior and better chosen decisions than what the novel had.

Finally got to binge it, and I loved the learning process of all the characters getting to know one another better over time. and huhuhu

Overall and enjoyable read and nice art. especially the male leads chest hoho.

This is a nice feel-good story where the story is interesting and the characters are all likeable and the art is so pretty (the artist is especially good at drawing the male figure).

This isn't a ten for me because I wish more attention had been given to the main leads' romance. While the story focuses so much on them their interactions together are mostly overshadowed by the plot, and there aren't that many cute scenes of them just spending time together and enjoying each other's company. Also, while the story's lighthearted I wouldn't consider it very funny.

That aside, I do really like everything else about this. The characters can be immature at times but also do show maturity and understanding at others, and the romance of the side characters I kind of like even better than the main one, even if it's hardly shown lol. That the author gives short backstories for the other characters helps really flesh out the story more, too.

Especially when it's a completed story, there's no reason not to pick this up if you're a fan of a wholesome fluffy romance.

I can't believe I waited so long to read this. It's the cutest story ever! I wish it would update faster but that's about it.

UPDATE: Apparently it's ended now. I was a little sad that the empress and the emperor didn't play a bigger part in the story. I mean they weren't even there for the wedding. And some fans complained that they wanted the ML and FL to have children. But not every married couple have kids and I think that should be normalized so I don't mind that.

It's a wholesome and adorable love story, although a bit quirky and awkward, it's still very lovely and I loved it.

At first I was embarrassed for the female lead and felt sorry for her, but the ML is turning out to be really adorable and their dynamic is so amazing and heartwarming!

Doesn't fall into the cliche and instead provides a rather fresh take on an already oversaturated genre.

I like it, but not the side where the shitty love triangle is always shown. The red f. is a b*tch

I didn’t know how much I loved tsundere leads. The FL is just the sweetest and cutest thing, that when the ML hurts her, I literally started crying. And then we he feels bad, you can feel the true remorse behind it because he knows how sweet and kind she is. The scanlation takes a dive for a bit so I’m hoping it stops being on hiatus and gets picked up by a group that will give it the love it deserves. I recommend this manhwa wholeheartedly!

It's sweet and funny at same time. I liked so much that I couldn't wait to read. I'm happy that I know basic Spanish since they are way ahead lol

Like I said, worth reading! You will not regret 😁
