Vol 1 was soooo good and it held a lot of promise and I loved it, but then... I don't know if it's the storyline or the translation (Vol 2 onwards were done by a different group, and as usual, I don't really get this group's translations... Sorry.)

I stopped reading at Vol 2, not sure if I will continue since I don't find myself enjoying it anymore.

I've never felt so deceived by a rating before... I understand that everyone has different tastes, but I really didn't enjoy this very much. The whole story is made of clichés, which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if they were executed very well or included some twists, but that is not the case. None of the emotions feel genuine or realistic–it's almost like the characters say they're in love because this is a BL and that's what they have to do. I don't know, this manga just rubbed me the wrong way. Try it if you want, maybe you'll like it. Judging by the rest of the comments, it seems to be polarizing like that.

Everything that Hozumi felt, I feel it too. It expresses my life so similarly well, I can't stop myself. Sobs. This series is....so good words aren't enough to explain it.

Full of unnecessary misunderstandings and the progress is too messy. It could be deep if the story was well-developed, which it didn't happen. All the characters are superficial and full of forced "tearjerker" cliches.

Plus a handsome seme, and that's about it. Good art will only get you so far. Honestly, if the art was even a bit different, I would never read this. As it is, the art style + an absolutely adorable uke whose shyness knows no limits, is exactly my cup of tea. And the hair style and colour is just flaming my passion.
Besides this the storyboard, while not horrible, is annoying. The seme tries to be the "mature" one and be "tactful" but is remorsefully lacking on both accounts. There are no side characters with any depth, and Hirokawa's background story is falter and less interesting than a run over mouse. The story progress is awkward at best.
Still, I will-most likely-end up following this till the end. The art, after all, is totally my type.

Oh my God. Nightswan I totally agree with you. This was such a surprising series. I never expected it to grab me in the feels like this. That's why I only find Hozumi to be the second most adorable uke ever. I NEVER feel like the uke is over the top even if under normal circumstances that would be the most obvious thing to feel. I just LOVE Hirokawa Hozumi to bits and pieces.

For some reason, this manga is making me really sad.
I though to myself, "why not read about a bratty uke?"
Well, I got a bratty uke alright, but also a side-dish of angst.

I'm not sure what pains me so much about this story, really. Is it because uke-kun wants to be with seme-san so bad, that he doesn't care what sort of trouble he gets into, that even the slightest affirmation from seme-san makes him feel so happy? Is it because he can't express his feelings at all, and tries to find whatever moronic excuse to be where the seme is, and all this behavior just becomes part of him, so much so that he can't escape it. He can't manage any other way of expressing his feelings, but you just see the pain written all over his face.

I think I could be over-reacting because I didn't see this coming.
I thought I was in for a silly romance sort of thing, but nope.
Despite this making me pretty sad, I look forward to reading more...
