Hiroaki Samura's collection of erotic grotesque.
1 Volume (Complete)

This is actually more like the torture aspect of guro. Though I've little interest in his long-running series(Blade of the Immortal), Hiroaki's art is brilliant as always. I don't see it as offensive to Chinese 'cos it's manga and there've been worse stuff published out there. To natnair: I disagree that only the Japanese can come up with such works. There're a number of English bondage comics which elevate s&m into extreme torture and even death.
On par with guro, it's all fantasy: the warped desires and fantasies of humans inscribed onto paper so the imagery could come to life. I'd a wonderful time reading this. ^_^
This is a collection of wonderfully drawn and beautiful pictures of horrible things. For those who can appreciate beauty even when found on awful subjects, check this out. Moralists abstain.
He's right about the warning. Just because they're not explicit doesn't mean they're not as bad. In fact, Bradherley might even be worse since the ordeals longer and you can read their thoughts. Brute Love is more perverse, but it's more brutal.
i don't agree with the subject material of torture and nobody should actually! ha!
the drawings are a mixture of amazingly pretty and horrifying at the same time...weird...
the women depicted are real beauties and the artwork is amazingly skilled but the torture omg....
quite ingenious 'though in it's depiction of torture but it makes your stomach go funny
that was pretty interesting. considering the artists,im not surprised by the level of detail or the articulation of the bodies depicted. well,ok. mayyybeeee its those details that got me worrying if i should be looking at this. all in all,it is ero-guro,so its not like it comes from left field. like the rest have said, take heed when reading.
I liked it
i was somewhat aroused the whole time looking through this
I like the art
the only problem...is that most of the girls...look alike...they all look like the 3main girls from BOTI
maybe not a problem...and its not really the focus of the images anyway
It does what it is supposed to do
so the scanlator said that if you can handle Bradherley's Coach, you can handle this.
WRONG.
Bradherley's Coach IS a manga, with manga like drawings, meaning the characters don't look real though what the characters go though is very dark but still, the actual look of it isn't realistic and i finished the whole thing (it was sad, but not a bad story). and it's not like there are PAGES and PAGES of the scenes...
Brute Love, however, LOOKS real and it JUST consists of those images. it's an artbook so yeah...it's sick...i couldn't even go through 5 pages without my stomach feeling all weird. but...ugh. too realistic and with the subject matter too? oh geez. Skip this one, though i'm sure you'd look at it out of curiosity despite my warnings, just like i looked into it despite the warnings of others...
I'm not sure why I dl'ed this. For sure, I like Samura's art, and maybe I just wanted to see how far he would go. Well, the answer is: not as far as I thought he would (phew?), but then I question why he would even go down this path at all.
Some of the drawings near the end featuring puppet-like figures were interesting; the rest were just awful, in my opinion. Most of the women featured are scrawny, waifish, and likely underaged--which is already quite a turnoff for me; that they are brutalized in such a manner just makes it worse. I also felt a few aspects were derogatory to Chinese people.
I'm writing from the POV of someone who admits to being perverse. But this one did nothing for me. Of course, I wasn't exactly looking for jerking-off material. At the end of the day, I just don't think this one has any artistic merit, and exists only to indulge extreme and fringe perversions (either the artist's or his audience's.)
I'm gonna end with a politically-incorrect statement: Trust the Japanese to come up something like this!
This is reason No. 1 why i consider Hiroaki a one hit wonder who did Mugen no Juunin an nothing else that will endure. The worst thing in this "art" book are not even the drawing of mutilated female corpses only or the constant rape or the fu##ed up short stories. Instead it is the editorial by the author where he explain why he drew of this trash. All in all one of the worst or most evil expressions of "art" i have ever saw and i like a lot of Avatar´s Crossed and seinen like Berserk is my mother milk. Do not read and close this window now as your soul may be in danger if you see what awaits on the other end of Ero-guro.
