The idea is good, but the execution is kinda really bad, mostly because of the pacing and the characters

At first mistook the series as I was originally looking for "The Versatile Butler Who Served A Selfish Princess Will Become A Peerless Upstart Soldier In The Neighbouring Empire" which does this whole spiel much better, but it's kind of insane really. The characters have little to no logical progression and in the span of days the "Ice Princess" falls for this random butler dude who apparently also secretly has the backing of the royal princess, but is still abused by his former masters while being able to go toe to toe with dragons and the best the current nation has to offer. It's like they took all the pieces of other stories of this ilk and mixed them together and out came a shit potpourri. The characters have little depth, the art is absurdly ugly with characters often having weird limbs, heads without any logic to the size of the bodies and bizarre costumes that are neither fitting for the setting nor fit to any standard of clothing people would wear. The fact I even made it to the 8th chapter is a wonder by itself. I'd rate the series lower, but it's not completely a garbled mess, just mostly a combination of "not good and badly written". Cannot recommend.

The nobels are way too kind to the mc butler, like i get that. Some nobel people are nice to servants, but at this point it feels like they are trying to protray this royal family as saint like.

The most realistic potray of a master and servant realtionship which is very similar to this, but there is still a line between nobility and servants was the fich family in "majikoi" at first i hated them because i thought they would be like this nobel family, over exceedingly nice to servants, but i really liked them in their route, they were not over exceedingly nice, but they were not too strict.

the first comment is misleading, the story is nothing as such, just give it a try.The art and story are both amazing this series is relatively new so it's pretty early to pass on a negative judgment which is exactly the person below me is doing, pretty dumb if you ask me

It's your average betrayal series and has the stupid "She was abusive but loved the MC" and then they try to pull the woe is her and how crappy it is for her now like as if I would feel any sympathy towards her? I really hate in these series when it tries to excuse what is blatant high end abuse as love.
