If you’re okay with a completely passive female lead who is objectified and dehumanized by the harem of alpha men who “care” about her, then here’s yet another supernatural shoujo to add to your list of faves. Yay for thinly veiled abusive dynamics as romance?

Actually...this story might get a 7 or even 8 from me if the fem lead was excised altogether. As with most manga involving action/specfic, the male characters were characterized with depth, & got intriguing background stories that made their personalities more vibrant & believable.
The art was even in the style I prefer for this genre. It’s too bad Hisaki was treated & created like doggy doo doo.

be told she “smells delicious”; to get fed on; to be a Damsel in Distress; to be fetched (read: kidnapped & teleported) against her consent whenever someone decides they want to see her; to be forced into the role of a concubine (bc there’s already a wife); to get berated whenever she even begins to stand up for herself; to just smile and accept verbal abuse flung at her from various “difficult” men;
etc etc etc. Potentially the worst part isn’t even their treatment of her, but how she reacts to said treatment, & how she lacks the initiative to act on any of the worries or goals she mentions to the one semi-okay dude. Actually...this story might get a 7 or even 8 from me if the fem lead was excised altogether. Even the male friend who accidentally came to the past with her was given more agency & individuality than the heroine. Which is especially sad considering he had less than half her screen time.
