This author managed to make even a golf theme into something funny and I generally avoid sports manga of all kinds because I really don't like things such as that in my fantasy trip, it's just boring after all, I could never, ever understand the charm of it, same goes for people watching soccer/football or other sports(to me, it's unbelievable that people would waste their time on such, in my opinion, insipid garbage)... Seems the people who hates this just loves golf and came here for all the wrong reasons thus getting butthurt about it not being enough about golf or correct enough. Their reviews are almost as hilarious as the manga itself.
So, people who doesn't like sports should give this a try anyway, because it's great most of the time. It's the kind of humor we're used to from this author with some spins here and there, although outdated compared to his newer works. A golfer girl with an all too kind heart and who is afraid of being watched is trying to overcome this flaw. This somehow results in her cosplaying and getting sexually harassed amongst other things. Random, but good. Not the best this author has to offer for sure, but it's a good one nonetheless.
If I had to complain about anything, which is why this is below the author's other works in score, it is that the story has a tendency to get serious quite often(never for that long at a time though, except towards the end where it became extremely boring and serious, cutting off another point of the rating, because the chapters towards the ending wasn't worth the energy it took to read them) and I really don't feel like it fits in at all. It's annoying because this isn't the type of story that works when it gets serious, not even for a little bit, at those parts it's just tedious and a chore to read it. I also hate the parts where the golfing gets more serious(without gags all the time) and we have to read announcer comments and golf trivia, no one cares, it just takes up space. Other than that, it's great, even if the comedy is a fair notch below his later works, but that's to be expected.
