After eight years spent in Africa, Kôtaro Himuro, reporter-photographer, returns to Japan to be awarded a prize. On this occasion, he finds Eriko his ex-wife. Kôtaro tries to convince Eriko to let their only daughter Aya go with him, without success. A few days later, Eriko tells her that their daughter cannot be found. Only a few strange photos remain... There follows a desperate attempt by this father to find his daughter.
