Loved the story and their dynamic enough that I paid to read the novel in ridi. If you like psychological stories with a lot of drama that is the perfect fit.

I love a good espionage story, and based on the title, I was looking forward to this one. But what a disappointment this was LOL.

I read from ch 1-15, and then from ch 64 til the end to see how it played out, and then ch 48-53 to find how "love" developed (still don't know lol). Nothing changed! It was consistently awful from the beginning to the end. The characters, the story, and the progression are all over the place. I don't mind torture and manipulation, IF it's written well into the story. And this webtoon really failed that.

The story premise DID have potential, but the pacing, development, and characters didn't match. First of all, the FL is not at all headstrong, despite being described as that. Every single time she was in danger, she was saved by someone else, and all she knows is how to cry. We also don't know much about ML until the end, and even then it wasn't much. His character development was so random -- he's supposedly a cold-hearted monster, and it's unknown when or how he even changed. The action scenes are all flat and not drawn well, and how the story develops was just off.

I don't usually drop stories. This one was short enough (76 chapters only!!), but it just shows how terrible it was that I couldn't bother continuing it. I don't know what the point of this story was.

I completely agree with the comment below. According to the story, the ml has thoroughly abused and manipulated the fl to the point killing was involved. I, too can’t imagine falling in love with someone like that. I have to admit that the way the author described how the fl felt and confusion throughout the story was quite well written, however, the romance part feels out of place. This is downright Stockholm syndrome. I would have preferred the fl hating the ml till the end.

In short, everyone here is messed up and no one’s normal. Art is great but as of chapter 61, I’m still not sure if they will end up together or not

Serious psychological torture and death and stuff. Messed up, really. From what the male lead has done to the female lead, I honestly cannot think of a single scenario where it feels okay that he ends up with her. Like okay even if his memory is erased and he's a totally different loving person or something, if the story is going to be so darkly realistic, let's be real the female lead would also have some major trauma associated with him.

As of episode 15 it seems to be going in the direction of certifiable lunatic is somehow falling in love with the woman he continues to torture so I'm just gonna drop this now. The art's good, and the story sure is twisted but not in a shoddily written way, so read if you're into dark psychological stuff but avoid otherwise. Tags also updated to reflect this.
