Some parts of it are very similar to Chie Shinohara's Purple Eyes, like when those strange guys attack her and her powers tear them to pieces. This isn't quite as horrific though, there's a bigger emphasis on school life and on romance. Also Mio is brave and strong in the face of all the stuff she has to go through. Most heroines in this kind of manga run and cry and run and cry (x100), but she runs, cries and fights, sometimes all at the same time. And when it's all over she can still smile and laugh. She's cool. I want to read more.
