Description
The best-known VR game in the world, 'Kailan'. A certified game addict knew in the virtual world, Ian. I liked the art, but it gets repetitive and boring. I made it to 40chapter before giving up. There is only so much "bleeding effect" and damage numbers that have no context, I can tolerate.
I read up to Chapter 63 and then dropped it.
Why?
-Because there was no longer any central plot line holding the story together. The character development (Ian as a person and not as a player) did not grow or change. He stayed the same for those 63 chapters. There were some obvious indications of a love interest but that was not really reflected in his thoughts or actions. The storyline just kept chugging along on the same train tracks going on aimlessly. An aimless plot is something I can not stand and this series is turning into one... so, I dropped it.
If you are someone who enjoys that sort of stuff in a series where the characters stay the same, the main plot line doesn't really move, and they are put into different scenarios without progressing the plot ... then you may enjoy this.
This series has a lot of good story elements: VRMMORPG, player progression, interesting game dynamics, world building, etc.
