Description
"This pounding in my chest is more than just admiration!?" Tomoya Ishida is a newbie editor at fashion magazine Sophia Monthly. After his senior's sudden hospitalization, he's hastily assigned to collect a column manuscript from the famous culinary researcher Ayumu Mitsuya. He pays him a visit soon after, and to his surprise, finds an affable, older man who speaks in a Kyoto dialect. Being asked to wait, Tomoya is served a simple dish that entices his stomach, and soon he finds himself eagerly awaiting their next encounter!

I'm up to chapter 8, and I fall more in love with this manga each time I read a new chapter. Although I *am* looking forward to the eventual relationship, I'm more enamored with the observations on life, food, relationships, etc. I think it's in the first chapter that Ayumu describes cooking as "a spell to keep me in good health and high spirits the next day" (thank you translator <3). This manga also gets bonus points for healthy and respectful portrayal of LGBTQ+ issues and identities! I love the gentle way Ishida realizes and accepts his feelings.
