This was ok, but definitely feels like it was cut off prematurely. There were only a few little episodic stories and then *poof* done. I liked the characters, but it don't feel I got to learn enough about them nor do I think they progressed very much. Not a terrible waste of time, but I wish there were more to it.

This is not a ground breaking manga, but its really sweet and does the genre well. Its obvious that Noah and Leon love each other and the author uses expression and other little things to convey this well. At first I was annoyed by how girly Noah looks, but eventually, I didn't really notice. Excepting the vampire thing, i thought their relationship was realistic. There was no falling in love or angst because they've been together for a very long time. I also liked that Noah was not weak and he had a chance to save Leon, too. Personally, I would have liked a little more shounen-ai moments, but the ones it did have (like the blood drinking scene) were really sweet. Pure blood falls into some of the conventions of the genre, but plays them well and avoids some of the worst cliques. Reminded me alot of Koori no Mamono no Monogatari.

Overall, its a fast read, and a cute story, if you like cute shounen-ai read it.
