Description

The Sleepless King summons young ladies to the palace every night and make them tell him bedtime stories, and the penalty for failing to lull him to sleep is death. The one who finally managed to sooth the king to sleep is Lady Farasha, who volunteered as the storyteller in order to save her imprisoned father. But how was she able to accomplish the impossible? Is there more to the relationship between the Sleepless King and Lady Farasha than what meets the eye?

Too short, but great!

This story gives a fantastic definition of "soulmates." It is very touching for anyone who believes in the next life. The art is nice and the plot is lovely. Though it's kinda predictable with a hint of their birthmarks. I think the ending was too rush. There should have been more tales to be told, so the strong connection of two souls would become more sentimental.

Cute. So fluffy it was kinda funny.

My only problem is that there wasn't really a proper ending for the third "story". But of course, it probably ended pretty tragically.

This is a lovely series of stories told to a sleepless king akin to the 1001 Arabian Nights. Each story is fairly bittersweet and well told, but what really sets this series apart is the way the stories are woven together with the overarching plot. There are subtle hints throughout connecting the characters which are phenomenal in the world of BAM IN YO FACE stories in most manga today. The art is lovely and well drawn throughout with beautiful clothing reminiscent of the Arabian nights. The romance is on an epic scale. Would highly recommend checking out this charming little series.

1001 nights type of story

There lives a cruel king who is tormented by sleepless nights. The only way for him to sleep is through bedtime stories told by women of random selection, but if he does not sleep through till morning, the women shall be killed. Now, enter our main character who dreams every night of 'past lives' all of a person with a 'butterfly mark'. She decides to tell the king her dreams in return for her father's, who as a minister is imprisoned for disagreeing with the king, life. The first night (chapter 1), she tells a story of a slave as she decides to hold no regrets, and the king sleeps. But in the morning, the king is in disbelief that he sleep well for the first time in forever. He released the MC's father, in-exchange for the MC's imprisonment as his storyteller. Needless to say, he has to play the cruel king, so he also threatens saying she shall die if he is not satisfied, The main character is resigned to her fate, however, she is confused for, on the king's body there is the 'butterfly mark' that she sees in her dreams. What could this mean?

Okay so... I'm missing several details but you gets the gist. Anyway...
I have always been a fan of the 1001 Nights remakes, because it's like having 1001 story combined into one with a happy ending, lol. Yeah, I like this one because all the stories are connected due to that butterfly mark, and I want that happy ending. So far, the first chapter's story.... Let's say I was not happy with that ending. I want happy endings! But all in all, the art is pretty, the character's have character, and the stories are lovely (romance the main theme just so you know).
