Sanjiri, a high school student, returns to the town where he lived as a child and, by chance, ends up in the same class as Rei, a boy he had a crush on back then. Rei remembers Sanjiri too, and feeling something like fate, Sanjiri begins to harbor faint romantic feelings again. However, when Sanjiri witnesses Rei entering a hotel with another guy after school, he’s deeply shocked and confronts him. Rei casually admits it’s just a friends-with-benefits situation, but his next words are, “I don’t understand what it means to love someone at all”…?
