I must admit a lot of the story is a bit repetitive, particularly when it comes to the tiger MC. A lot of his character can be boiled to "face of a thug, heart of a maiden" and a lot of his conflicts are also tied to that and that alone.
The story tries to tackle the issue of prejudice and judging the book by its cover but it does that within the constrain of cute slice of life stories. Sometimes it works. Other times it feels a bit samey, particularly when I made a mistake to binge it.
On that vein the story does feel like the carp bread our MC is selling. it's sweet in small amounts, but can be a bit too much if binged.
But with all that aside, the story has a lot of heart.
As much as it doesn't try to say much beyond 'don't judge a book by its cover', they are still saying it earnestly, sincerely.
And the side characters are also good. The children in particular are cute.
The MC, flat as he is, also feels refreshing amidst other webtoon protagonist. He is humble and helpful and friendly without being neither a doormat nor a secret badass.
