So apparently the reason why Adrian (the ML) was forced to marry the FML (Rosa) was because his father was friends with Rosa's father. Rosa's father was supposed to be executed but Adrian's father saved him by sacrificing himself and switching places with Rosa's father. And what does Rosa's father do to show his gratitude? He forces ML to break up with his previous fiancée and marry his daughter. Apparently it was the only way to pay off his debt. Excuse me?! If you wanted to help him pay off his debt maybe you could have given him the money?! Wouldn't that be a simpler solution instead of forcing him to marry your rude daughter and breaking up his previous engagement?! And then there's the daughter gaslighting him into thinking he's useless because of the debts when the debts were caused by Adrian's deceased elder brother's gambling. Does the bitch think money grows on trees?! Also, the audacity of her telling Adrian's previous fiancée that her family should've shouldered the debt if they truly cared about her engagement. The hell? Maybe your father should have done that instead? He seems to be rich what with him taking control of the nation's underworld.

Apparently the main villain here is the current king/emperor who happens to be the brother of the FML's father (so her uncle basically). He's apparently a horrible and evil ruler and I personally don't mind villains who are basically horrible at their core but at least make them threatening. Based on the spoilers I've read, the villain also happens to be stupid that he ends up killing those who actually support him and is so obsessed with getting his niece that he ends up killing his only son and his mistress who is actually loyal to him. Like wtf? How did this guy managed to become king in the first place if he was this dumb? If you're gonna make the villain an unredeemable bad guy, at least make him competent!
