Description

Finally a capable female lead

Ml treats her rudely, so she throws his rudeness right back at him. I’m tired of those stories where the fl endures his rudeness because uwu, he’s such a sad boy like the usual divorce genre. Those stories where she puts up with his rudeness so he falls in love with her, but then she divorces because of a misunderstanding so he locks her up. This fl actually calls him out on his behavior when he attacks her.

Also tired of fls who can’t do anything without marriage and endure humiliation from mls. They beg the ml for help and absolutely need to get married because they can’t do anything otherwise. When the ml is romantic or civil about it it’s cute but when the the fl is just begging him and he’s annoyed by her but does it anyways, then it gets on my nerves. The worst offenders are the fls who beg the guy even after he points a sword at their neck. Girl, you really need to get married to this specific man who pointed a sword at your neck? Is there no other way to solve your problem? Thankfully this fl starts farming potatoes and whatever to get out of her mess. I’ll admit it’s funny, but also, thank god there’s a fl who doesn’t rely on kissing up to her spouse or dad and tries to use her own skills and capabilities.

The ml is just a dude who had a girlfriend but got wowed by fl and left her. I suppose fl might have agreed to him considering she liked his simping over her enough to get over his initial rudeness. However, when his ex said in novel spoilers she hoped for a guy who’s as good as him I died a little on the inside because he was keeping her as a mistress and jumped ship when strong woman ™️ entered the chat. I wouldn’t use this guy as a gold standard lol. From a girl’s perspective he’s basically the male equivalent of “the gold digging bitch that cuckolded me”.

Mary Sue FL, Gaslighted ML, horrible plot...

I see people do nothing but praise the FL but I can't help but be irritated by her Mary Sue-ness. Also, I can't stand her personality. If she wanted to present herself as likeable she should have at least worked along with her husband instead of constantly attacking him.

EDIT: So I decided to spoil myself and looked for spoilers to this series and boy did nothing there made me want to go back to the manga. I'm glad there is currently only 3 chapters for this manga because if this was completed I would have probably forced myself to read the entire thing with the vain hope that it might get good.

So apparently the reason why Adrian (the ML) was forced to marry the FML (Rosa) was because his father was friends with Rosa's father. Rosa's father was supposed to be executed but Adrian's father saved him by sacrificing himself and switching places with Rosa's father. And what does Rosa's father do to show his gratitude? He forces ML to break up with his previous fiancée and marry his daughter. Apparently it was the only way to pay off his debt. Excuse me?! If you wanted to help him pay off his debt maybe you could have given him the money?! Wouldn't that be a simpler solution instead of forcing him to marry your rude daughter and breaking up his previous engagement?! And then there's the daughter gaslighting him into thinking he's useless because of the debts when the debts were caused by Adrian's deceased elder brother's gambling. Does the bitch think money grows on trees?! Also, the audacity of her telling Adrian's previous fiancée that her family should've shouldered the debt if they truly cared about her engagement. The hell? Maybe your father should have done that instead? He seems to be rich what with him taking control of the nation's underworld.

Oh and don't get me started on the villain of this series...

Apparently the main villain here is the current king/emperor who happens to be the brother of the FML's father (so her uncle basically). He's apparently a horrible and evil ruler and I personally don't mind villains who are basically horrible at their core but at least make them threatening. Based on the spoilers I've read, the villain also happens to be stupid that he ends up killing those who actually support him and is so obsessed with getting his niece that he ends up killing his only son and his mistress who is actually loyal to him. Like wtf? How did this guy managed to become king in the first place if he was this dumb? If you're gonna make the villain an unredeemable bad guy, at least make him competent!

It's a little early but it's at least setting things up so far character and story arc wise. Will keep an eye on it but won't hesitate to drop it like its hot if it goes super generic for this kinda series.

7/10 Mostly the MFL is propping this series up from a 6 at this time, kinda mary sueish but at least isn't razing half a continent cause she cast a spell lol
