Wow. I really don’t like the seme. I cannot get over the fact that he slapped an abused kid (the uke). Are you kidding me? He does the absolute bare minimum to help the kid in the first place, then he confronts him about how he’s been exchanging sex for living expenses. When the uke stars panicking and basically tells him that he feels he has no choice, the seme hits him? What the fuck? Under no circumstances should ANY adult be hitting a kid. There were so many more issues with this story as well, but I don’t even feel like getting into it. Seriously the whole thing was just so weird and icky.

I really love Ichikawa Kei's works, and this one is really no exception. The characters are nicely established and the two mains have a very pleasant relationship. It's interesting to see their backstories and the side characters as well. I really love the fujioshi boss, she's the best xD

the only thing.....UGHHHH...is the age gap combined with the fact that the uke is an abuse victim. In the story, it's nice and sweet, but I can't help but feel smarmy reading it. I know it's not the case, but I can't help but feel like the seme is taking advantage of the uke. He's an adult, he should know better and all that. I dunno, sigh. I really hope this story doesn't take the romantic route, but all signs point to the affirmative. oh well.

edit: yeah basically all my fears were confirmed. weakest of ichikawa kei's works, disappointed.
