Towards the end of the Joseon era, a drifting ship strands a group of Westerners in a quiet, Korean village by the sea. Washed ashore by a ferocious storm, the royal traveler Robinson Cross, his loyal servant Jim and the scholar Obermas struggle to make sense of their new hosts. The local leader Saddo and the village magistrate Chulsoo try to resolve the language barrier, but in the end they only end up causing more problems than they solve.
