Oneshot (Complete)

You can tell it's the "woke" era when even a stolen sleeping kiss is now deemed problematic lmao. I assume the reason opinions on this oneshot seem to be so divided is because of that? I for one don't think it's an issue here at all since there's no sexual assault/ harassment intent behind the action; it was really just a harmless peck on the lips that's as inoffensive as any innocent surprise kiss given to any person whether they're conscious or not. Fretting over even that is way too silly and out of touch imo.
Anyway back to this oneshot, all in all it's really not a bad one, a bit basic maybe but not bad nonetheless. The execution is highly above average, which helped because the plot has been done to death before.
My gut reaction to this: absolutely beautiful. It’s cute and adorable beyond words. The rich array of facial expressions are simply devastating. How beautifully, not to mention skillfully, the perspectives change from one protagonist to another is astounding. The way their story blends into the others clutches your heart. The use of the panels for transitions is master level. Fantastic dialogues, and side characters. Everything, so perfect. A continuation is definitely needed.
However, when I thought things over, kissing one while they are sleeping is just wrong. Furuya had no right to do that even if he had an in linking that Asada liked him. That was just wrong.
I know better. I have seen better. Sasaki to Miyano, an ideal manga, that all BL mangaka should look towards when it comes to issues of consent and high-school love. That is why, I will not let this slide. I will demand better of myself.
