Description
From Viz:

Choko Kuze is the sensible daughter of a venerable family who went bankrupt. She joins a real estate company as an entry-level office worker, but her eccentric boss is harder on her than anyone else in the company! After hearing him inadvertently call her "milady," she realizes he was the young servant boy she knew as a child. At work he's a tyrant, but after hours he insists on treating her like a lady of the nobility. Is romance even possible for a couple locked in such a crazy role reversal?

Nice. A good starting point for newbies to Yoshihara's long works

EDIT in response to the latest comment on top by coolxal: please, PLEASE, he's not a wife beater ;.;. The day Yoshihara-san starts actually gloryfying abusive relationship I'll figuratively burn her works. But If I know this mangaka's style enough , she won't go so low, thanks God (if there's one thing that makes her different from most of the smut around, it's just this). The whole idea of abusive relationships being romantic is just crazy to me by the way.But I agree with you about this manga not being shoujo: according to the tags and usual target it's a josei , darling ;P. And yes, it's awesome, in its own way, though not for the reason you mentioned.
Now, the actual review ^^:
so far (chapter 9) it's probably the most romantic work of Yoshihara-sensei I've had the pleasure to read. She has toned down the innuendos and left more space to explore the characters' personality ( considering the male -and quite bipolar- lead is quite... reserved about his feelings, it's a wise decision. Even if actions can speak louder than words ;) ). Anyway, where there are innuendos they are as crazy and funny as her standard ^^V. A pretty sweet story, that exploits some clichès, but always making fun of them at the same time. Go, Yoshihara-sensei ^W^!
I''ve looked at the raws of the next volumes (up to volume 5), and I can only confirm this is indeed a (spicy)sweet comedy. The main difference with previous works by this author is that the female lead is more submissive and shy , more traditional in a way , while the male is the dominant one mostly (usually Yoshihara's women are much more assertive and have a rampant libido XD; pure gold comedy-wise). But... she is learning fast ;) .
You have just to remember that the whole story is centered about the servant-master relationship, and, as it usually happens in Yoshihara's work, concepts are played with, exploited, turned inside out and upside down >3 (ahah, who will be the real master and servant - provided some roles of sort will survive... - at the end?) , always with a smile and sometimes with moving tears.
Just try reading it ^^ .

Yeah, the whole sexual harassment at work, and "it was your fault I decided to assault you because obviously men are animals and can't control themselves" kind of thing just doesn't fly, with me. Not cool. And the whole thing where she faints from arousal is just LOLWAT.

Final verdict: It was cute and had moments of absolute hilarity. I felt compelled to read it to the end, but it had too many problems to be satisfying and I was left feeling rather disappointed.

This manga is light-hearted, art is clean and neat, has comedy that can make you giggle, and it contains some smutty scenes.
I've invested my money for 8 volumes... so... what I recommend you is: just buy/read the first 3 volumes. The first 3 volumes make the story interesting and go uphill. I thought that this was by far the best and most interesting of Yoshihara's work, but this thought only stop at the end of volume 3. I would rate Vol. 1- 3 a mark of 9.5/10. From volume 4 to 5, it went to the first stage downhill. Then it further went toward the second stage downhill ownward. Like the commentator "1122shadows" said, "Vacillated between interesting and boring" ---> boring parts come after Volume 3.

Therefore... save the moments of interesting parts (volume 1 - 3) in your heart and skip other volumes since you can already guess its ending by reading the first 3 volumes. Reading beyond Volume 3 can result in disappointment because it (plot) just gets more and more stupid, and not much smutty scenes. I like the side characters such as Suou, Makie and Mikihiko but they don't get much role in later volumes... which sucks out the comedy out of the story. Also, the mangaka just killed the good characterization of the male lead in the later volumes... so it kinda sucks.

Or if you want to proceed beyond volume 3, I suggest you to read til chapter 26, then stop -> just skip other chapters, then imagine the ending.

The ending was kinda rushed... maybe the story could have one or two more volumes to make it interesting. I guess that the let-down (volume 4 onward) was part of Yoshihara's editor's fault. In the sidenote, Yoshihara-sensei did mention that her editor had been changed, and 'this second' editor gave her taglines for gundam-otaku and many stuff in the story... so I don't blame the mangaka but blame on the editor for the letdown. (The mangaka didn't blame on anything, but keeps apologising to the readers in the sidenotes. Anyway, it is I (not the mangaka) who puts the blame on editor for the cause of letdown of the story).

If you want a better and interesting story of the same genre, I recommend Hapi Mari by ENJOUJI Maki sensei

This is one of the most ridiculous things that I've ever read, but be damned if it isn't funny.

This series is much more enjoyable if not taken seriously. I guess that's why I was able to enjoy it thus far.

For once I've read a smut series that was MEANT to be funny, instead of laughing at stuff when I'm not supposed to.

This manga reminds me of Kimi Wa Petto, so if you really like this, you should check that out too. Overall, the bits of humor put in by the mangaka never failed to make me laugh (or smile). Other mangas tend to put stupid cliched comedic moments, but this manga was simply hilarious. The relationship between Chouko and "Chaa-chan" is very sweet, but the sexual parts were pretty smutastic. They also venture into a real life man's problem with

erectile disorder
This is very interesting because in all the manga's I've read, the men never had problems with their "lil partner", so I was surprised and slightly amused with this scenario. I enjoyed the plot and the characters, therefore I give it a solid 10.

I read till ch20 (vol4)... my comment so far:

Dunno when I last laughed that hard when reading a manga.
The story is flat and starts cliché but the characters are very hearty and damn funny... funny in a absurd, silly and sometimes scary way with lots of slapstick. It turns too hilarious later and I think Yoshihara's enthusiasm has gone over board here and there -.-" But I don't care since it totally entertained me.

Like the single-chair-elevator that connects the secretary floor directly with the president's meeting room in the company, and all water that Kuze was supposed to serve got spilled on the way by the turbo acceleration XD

Or another example would be Kuze's new assigned job as the private secretary of the company's president. As for that she had to dress as a maidservant and sits in a monitoring room in his manision and watches on screens while the president himself sits in a chair beside her and joyfully tells her to call him 'Captain'... and the room has an awful similarity to a space-ships' bridge.

Or when Doumoto reads a hentai to Kuze for a good night story; has to show his lucky-underwear or comes up with his otaku knowledge of gundam - hahaha

That much about the absurd moments.

My co-workers may think of me as abnormal now (read it here at work and burst out laughing not only once) but I had two very funny days at work ^^

--- 2015/08/03 Update ---
Started from beginning to finished the last volumes properly and the quality falls for the last volumes. Last 10 chapters were boring to get through with.
Changed my rating from 9 to 8.

I can't contain my emotions while reading this manga! It's the best one Yoshihara-sensei have ever created so far... and I should know since I one of her biggest fans! Haa Haa, Aisuru Hito, Sheherazade, and many more. Once you've tasted a Yoshihara, you'll always have a Yoshihara. If there is 100 on the ranking, I'll give it that!!! I wish I have five thumbs to make them all go up!!!

Refreshing!

I can't begin to describe how refreshing this manga is but I gotta start somewhere eh..

CHARACTERS - As the author said, this is her first series that has a docile main female character so it was up to the male character to keep the story going. And boy was it a sweet treat! From the summary, you would expect to have a (whiny) female character who would fail miserably on her job so it's up to an overbearing, serious, cool male to come save the day. You couldn't have been more wrong! Here you have a rational female character and her hilariously perverted servant/boss/lover. I was in stitches seeing Doumoto's antics. As for side characters, they each have their own personality! They're not the type that you would see and forget the next chapter; they have their own quirks that make them truly memorable. Heck I even liked the rivals.

ART - I love this author's art especially her chibis! They are very expressive and appropriately used to give the reader the best feeling of the moment. The only thing that prevented me from giving this series a 10 is the evident decline in quality at the later chapters where you can see less to almost non-existent background dimension. It's like the author lost her shading tool or something; the images looked flat.

PLOT - The events that transpire between this couple and how they handle them is what truly makes this manga utterly refreshing. The author will present you a scenario so cliche'd that would make you think you know what's going to happen next when she suddenly pulls the rug under your feet then proceeds to make you laugh your head off! I had my whaaaaaat??!!-no-the-author-didn't-do-that priceless moments.

So if you're looking for a light-hearted, not-too-serious, hilariously funny, romance manga that is sure to knock your socks off, look no further!

This Mangaka..

Rating: 10.0 / 10.0
I was thrown off a bit by the description and the cover art, I thought it was going to have some dainty female lead. Boy was I wrong! I love all of the characters in this they're all so lovable and constantly make me laugh out loud! The male lead as the most unique of them all though, just his personality and the way he expresses himself are funny to no end, especially when he's happy about something. The mangaka has a really good art style and the expressions on her chibi's are just fantastic xD I also love her after note kind of saying what is going though Masayuki's head at that moment xD You can really see the two of them develop as things go on and even the love rivals that pop up (while annoying) aren't the typical rivals.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Like instead of his ex girlfriend using the typical passive aggressive harassment on Chouko she gets right up in her face and steps on her hand with her heel! While that was extreme I find it kind of refreshing that the rival gets right to the point, and same with each of the characters reactions to the rivals as they clearly rejected them
I can honestly not say how much this manga amuses me, the right amount of romance, amazing characters all over even in the supporting roles, and unique execution. Looking forward to the next update!
