The amount of character development the mc goes through is literally insane. Like he went through so much (despite it being not dark) and being able to develop as a character is insane. Not only that, but the female mc and her son, them slowly opening up to him. As well as the niece. Holy moly that was so bwautiful

What i also liked was that his family, despite him leaving them on bad terms, they do genuinly care about him. They tell him let by gones be by gones, he is still their son and they still will care for him if he needs help.


Such a great manga, 11/10. I nearly cried at the end because of how beautiful this was

Less of seinen , more like josei.
In this manga i cannot really like any of the main character as both are quite infantile for a "seinen".
The "drama" is quite stupid, definitely geared more toward a slice of life.
The only message you can get from this is "Whoever Falls in Love First, Loses".

There's nothing much to complain about the story. Don't be disappointed by the first two chapters. The male lead grows up so much in the 33 chapters you'll be amazed. The only problem I see here is that they didn't let us have some pov of the part of female lead and how she feels on everything. I am not asking for 20-30 chapters. I am asking for 2 chapters at least to get more emotions of her and how she is living right now. Also the ending part could have been stretched into 6 more chapters instead we got rushed ending.

unlike the weird title this manga is wholesome af and filled with romantic fluff. A must read if you are a romcom fan or searching for something "doki doki"

The main leads are really nice and cute, but this is definitely seinen. Don't expect any NTR or love triangles or anything like that, this is more of a 'coming of age' as a sub-genre. The MC starts as a Freeter (i.e. FREE arbeiTER, from German, meaning he's someone who does various part-time or full-time jobs, but not as a career), who is hopelessly crushing on the MILF FMC. She turns him down for the very sensible fact that how can he help provide for her and her child, but not for any real dislike or anything.

So the story is mostly about BOTH of the main characters overcoming the downsides of their personalities while still growing closer. She has a 5 YO boy, and pretty soon the MC's niece comes into play for a brief stint, leading to them bonding over that.

Expect romance with their absolutely adorable romance, but still with both adults dealing with their issues. It's very much a 'coming of age' story, but not in the teenager sense, but in terms of young adults (20-29). Frankly, a lot of it really hits close to home. Definitely not shounen style romance. I thoroughly enjoy this series, and can't wait for the remaining volumes to be translated. (Currently with 1 chapter remaining in V2, out of 4 volumes total)
