Apart from minor misspellings, Close up the World was too short to make any mistakes. Of course it was not long enough for the characters to develop or for their motivations and personalities to shine through, although the character design was good. The world was fleshed out nicely given the constraints but here the story was not long enough to go anywhere with it. The art was nice and I felt that the artist had suitible style for both the story and the genres. This short has a picture and paints it, without any kind of fluff or filler. I liken it to a lean dinner.
Overall readers may be dissatisfied with the short length and brief conclusion, but for what it was I enjoyed reading Close up the World.
