Brutal but beautiful drama

I love the gothic background. I’m used to brutally, but this one is different because of child abuse. Baron and Godo are hot and scary at a same time. Baron seemed to be heartless and careless due to his past, so I sympathize him pretty much. I was confused about that corpse like “who was that?” And “what was that about?” I’m glad there’s a chapter about Godo. He was less violent than when he’s with Baron. The extra chapter confused me more. Did Godo become immortal and not age? Did Kyose die in a war or survived and had a family? Godo was there with his urn.

I LOLed though.

I don't know. Am I reading too much BL? What movies have I been watching. I thought this is going to be 'omgeee so dark it will corrupt me' but turns out I'm already way to corrupted to feel any of this. I mean, gosh, whatever. Rape- ergh, could have gotten me but didn't. Bondage scene looked ridiculous as hell. Body fluids looked like a fucking emoji. The Baron was cringy! He was so over the top! NO PUN INTENDED. He didn't turn me on! Haha! But LOL. If I were younger and if this was one of the first ones that I read, then maybe just maybe it would get a rise out of me. But not now. Fucking timing sucks!

A taboo lovers delight. Very raunchy, even more Shin Mizukami.

Mizukami has always been good at making the stories in her one-shots connectable. & even though I usually avoid one-shots, I have to admit that Mizukami does them very well. Aside from recommending everything else she's ever written, fans may enjoy Tori Maya's BDSM yaoi mangas.
Ignore anything anyone says about role reversal...It's merely suggested & never actually shown, & happens (offscreen) at the very end of the first story, so it doesn't really count.
The part about sadomasochism is also wrong because neither of the boys get sexual gratification from being beaten & humiliated...they only start enjoy the sex when they form a mutual emotional bond with their semes, who then stop being violent. I can only assume that the people who voted "agree" on it mistakenly think it counts if the uke happens to have been in love with a sadist from the get go.

A typical Mizukami Shin

If you've read Mizukami Shin before then you'll get no new surprises from her here. As I like her work, and immediately recognise her distinctive art style (like an old friend) whenever I stumble over one of her works, I enjoyed this, even if I found the main plot a little bland.
The second story, as most people have commented, was the one that really stood out. Slightly out of character for her (at least, as far as I have seen), sensei has included quite a bit of humour, and even, ahem, fluffiness. The plot was sad, especially if you know about how it will end from the first story, but at times the interaction between the main characters was unexpectedly adorable. I was left a little confused at the ending special, but hey, maybe that's just me x
Obviously, if you don't like any form of BDSM or the fact that the uke is quite a lot smaller than the seme, then don't read this. But if you do, and have liked the rest of Mizu's works than please do, even if only for the last story (which contains nothing too shocking).
x

It wasn't what I expected, really, and it was kind of gory, but it somehow managed to be sweet and sad at the same time. I cried during the second story, the one where it tells about Godo's past. Poor Kyose. :'(

Not good.

The only thing I liked about this was the very end of the main story.
The side story about the military guy was better than the main plot as well...
This is nothing special, in no aspect... the art can be very ugly, there's no story, all it is is awkward forced sex scenes and the poor boy who is so delusional that he thinks it's love even after getting raped and abused constantly.

Where to start with this series, I am unsure. But I must say that Mizukami Shin's works are definitely one of a kind. I was always attracted to her stories, and the art has an easily distinguishable beauty to it.
Her stories are usually slightly darker than other series, Aigan Shounen included, and I suppose that that's what pulls so many of us in, myself included. I felt slightly bad for Seiji throughout the series, but I felt even more for Godo. His story was possibly the saddest of them all in this series, and I actually felt myself tear while I read.
Other than that, the series is nice if you like Mizukami Shin's work, or even if you like darker-themed yaoi in general. Nonetheless, it is a decent read, and I myself, do not regret reading any of Mizukami Shin's work.

i always like shin mizukami's works. she always delivered great art and i often found myself mesmerized with its beauty. but i'm not fond of s&m or too violence and disturbing manga. but since its hers, so i gave it a shot. the main story is predictable. of course. but what tore my tear ducts was Godo's story. and everytime i think about his story i get teared up again.
so if you like shin mizukami's works, this isn't really one of her best but it worth a shot coz there is a good story in this.

It was all right I guess, but the whole time I read it I kept wondering what the mangaka's aim was for this story. Creepy or tender? After I read the first chapter I was frightened and wondered what I was getting myself into, but by the end I felt like I had just read a regular cotton candy yaoi :/. Of course, it's not all that bad lol.
