Description

Volume 1:
Mizuno Chihiro was unable to control his urges and got erect very easily. Because of his constant tardiness, he was sent to participate in the re-development system together with two other problematic senpai, Takatou Shinobu and Kandori Akira. Sharing a room with Takatou, Mizuno became erect when he helped Takatou (a mangaka) on his smutty works. Takatou tried his best to help Mizuno but fell in love with Mizuno along the way. However, he refused to admit his own feelings and hurts Mizuno. What should Mizuno do?

Volume 2:
V2 focused on the love triangle of Takamura Harumichi, Kandori Akira and Takamura's aniki, Akuda Shuuji. Kandori finally found out what really happened during that winter three years ago. With Takamura's confession, would Kandori accept it and move on? And with the help of Kandori sensei, would Takatou Shinobu finally become one with Mizuno Chihiro?

the lead-in for the first couple (takatou x mizuno) is ridiculous -- mizuno gets erect at the slightest provocation because a perv groped him on the subway once. and his senpai offers to help him "retrain" himself. uh hn. and as so often, the love confessions come way too early. but surprisingly things improve after that, when the confused feelings plus fumbling inexperience lead to not very satisfactory lovemaking, which actually makes sense.

the 2nd volume deals with the 2nd couple, so keep reading. i've yet to read the second couple's story, since i was following along with the drama CD, which only covers the first couple, so i won't be rating the manga yet. but so far it's slightly above average. nothing earth-shattering, and not worth rereading, but decent for smut lovers. i'm gonna add the "smut" label for it because the whole story is basically designed to lead from one sex scene to the next without too much interruption in between.

an early reviewer didn't think the groping incident was plausible, but that didn't bother me -- i don't find it unlikely that somebody, especially somebody young with no sexual experience whatsoever, would be frozen stiff if they get groped on a crowded train. especially in japan where there is a strong tendency to not make a fuss and not stand out. it might well be more embarrassing to call attention to the situation than to put up with it.

Sad to say, that was the best part of the manga for me... Not that it was bad, just kinda unengaging and stuff... The second couple's story was much better so, if you do pick this up, keep reading!

Very Abrupt Ending

It was cute enough but it seemed like it very suddenly ended with no further explanation of the second couple or who the teacher was to them. It should probably have been made into a series. I don't think it was explained very well where they are even staying. I didn't get it are they at summer school? Or have they switched schools completely? Is everyone there someone who has gotten in trouble? This book definitely needs a second part.

Second volume better

The first story is just a typical overly girly uke with perma blush (and erection) story. Some aspects might try to make it seem different, but it really isn't. They actually only make it weirder. Getting a permanent erection from slightest impulse because of traumatic experience? Ridiculous. And if that was so, I really doubt that would have been a way to heal it. Oh well. 6/10 at max for me.

On the other hand, I quite liked the second pairing. They were sort of interesting and the whole story was pretty nice. But rather than that, their sex scenes were just that hot. And that seme/seme was a cherry on top~ ♥ 8+/10 A big letdown though is the fact that the series seems to focus more on the first pairing...even in second volume.

I enjoyed reading Critical lovers. It was cute and funny. But It left me hanging a little at the end as the second couple story isn't really told(not in much detail). It felt uncomplete in a way. But it was a good read.

When I red this many years ago I likes it...now...deep breath
I think the user "mangafan321" doesn't know how body and mind work, you can freeze, get up, cum and even come back to a situation of abuse. The sad thing is "you are purposely giving sexy seductive vibes" "are you trying to seduce me? even if you are unawere of it it's even worse" "saying such seductive things, I wont help you if someone rapes you, you deserve it" This quotes came from the same seme guy who said "you were not wrong gettin up when a molester gropped you in the train, he blamed you cus he is a molester and it's wrong even if you felt pleasure (wich we was right)" that made me want to throw up and cut off his dick. And the worst part for me is that the uke realizes he likes the seme right after him saying all those horrible horrible stuff wtffff
At least the art is pretty and the seme realizes he is being the same as the train molester

having read hundreds of yaoi i can say that this one although it has a girly uke he isn't that annoying and as expected of sensei the sex scenes are so hot ;P !

the first couple was alright, Mizuno's disorder and Takatou's otakuness made their relationship a bit interesting and enjoyable...

after reading this manga, i really wanted it to focus more on the second couple --> Kandori and Takamura.... the relationship plot was alright but i love their love scenes!!! ^^

Is there a sequel coming?

Like what Nyokichan said, the second couple got no explanation whatsoever so I came here to see if this series has a sequel... Turns out it doesn't. It's almost better to keep them as supportive characters and not purposely create a vague romantic tension between them.

My guess is there's going to be a sequel coming with relationship between Takamura, Kandori and the sensei as the main plot. But seeing there's no news after 2 years, she probably run into problem with the publisher or her current work load.

i liked the story overall, but I was more interested in the second couple. There seems to be a story about them, but it wasn't explained. 🙁 So I felt like it was incomplete in a way. Hopefully, sensei writes a manga about the second couple. 😀 Like she usually does with her other stories.
