Sometimes having many lives creates just as many heartbreaks.

Joon-hyung is a psychiatrist in a relationship with a fellow colleague, Lana. During his first day on the job, he encounters a rather peculiar patient named Hye-lim. She claims that she can leave her ‘vessel’ and be reborn anytime she wants. Joon-hyung diagnoses her with schizophrenia.

Hye-lim kills herself in front of Joon-hyung to prove that she is telling the truth. That evening, Joon-hyung gets a visit from Hye-lim, who had earlier killed herself. She is accompanied by a person named Yoo-sung. Yoo-sung explains to Joon-hyung that Hye-lim while she may look human that she is of a different species. These species have been handed down as ‘Property’ from one generation to another. They tend to crave affection of a third party and kill themselves if they fail – placing their owners in grief. The Owner and Property fall in love but it is Hye-lim’s nature to seek affection from a third party. Time passes and Hye-lim is ‘reborn’ and goes back to Joon-hyung, but her instinct to seek love elsewhere doesn’t change. This causes problems between Joon-hyung, his best friend Tae-hyun, and his ex-lover Lana. Emotional distress, jealousy and drama ensues.
