S1 was a decent murim story, but S2 is bad and rushed, with a lot of plot holes because it had to end the story fast.
Looks like it was axed, rushed or intended to rush things in the second season and simplify all additional plotlines. Still, it's not bad and even being as suddenly rushed as it is, it still manages to remain compelling and consistent.
And also looks like it will be finished without being meaninglessly dragged and becoming boring! +1 for that, rare for a murim manhwa.
UPD: What the hell was that cliffhanger at the end.

go read something better, don't waste your time on this one. all the build up from season 1 is useless, they rushed everything in season 2 probably so it could get an ending.
The MC supposedly wrote the book, but he blames others for things he supposedly wrote?
It's as if the author has forgotten the backstory he gave the character, or just really didn't consider the fact that an author would write a lot of the things he supposedly didn't. That he just... randomly, haphazardly, wrote a story that even he forgot as he wrote it?
The constant back and forth between the MC being an idiot, a lucky one at that, and someone who "know's what's going to happen!", wedged in with 'I didn't know that'd happen' becomes a game of a whiplash.
This story... it had a good idea at it's core, but was executed badly.
