From Chibi Manga:
We were sharing the same feelings but he didn't realize it at all. Even so, I love him. That's what I have always thought for these past two years.
5 Volumes + "Extra" Volume (Complete)
6 Volumes (New Edition - Complete)

Full of misunderstandings
Full of idiotic characters that don't want to listen
Plenty of 2 dimensional characters that serve one purpose
Now I am a 20yr old college student so this manga was plainly not targeted for me but who isn't? (Probably plenty of people) there was a time when I might have enjoyed this but I don't. This reminds me of aoi something a story just like this but written better. There was a point in my life where I could have related to this, the thoughts and feelings of the main protagonist, things like, "should I even keep on liking him?" "I'm not pretty enough" but what this all teaches me is that artists kind of glorify these feelings there should be less of "why am I not good enough" and more, "hey we all have different tastes this person might not like me but someone else will and that's okay". like my title, this story is pure angst nothing new, nothing's creative. It follows the same pattern of angst and dwells on the emotion hoping it will be picked up by someone feeling the same thing. That's what sadly makes it good.
Honestly this is wayyyy too cliche for me, yes, even for an avid shoujo manga fan like me.
First few chapters were nice but after that I realized that this manga basically just threw every cliche plot ever into one story.
Ex-girlfriend? Check!
Past trauma? Check!
Female lead being protected by the male lead when people made fun of her? Check!
Male lead's friend fell for same girl? Check!
Female lead insecurity of the popular male lead? Check!
Misunderstanding about their relationship status? Check!
etc etc
I love cliche things because it's sth we usually long for in real life, but this is madness
I've finish reading this in one day, it only have 5 volume with 22 chapter and I love it. Yeah, its cliche but its still nice because its mangaka develop all the character really well here. About Tsukasa, who fall in love with Arima (make me remember Kare Kano!) since middle high so she confess to him in her last year hoping that he will accept her (it shows from the start that she and Arima is really close, so her expectation is really high!) but she get rejected! But she doesn't care and she swear that she will never give up on him so the love pursuit story begin! I can see that this is a slow-love-growth story in fast pace (only 22 chapter, its ok as long there is no dragging), there is 2 rival character here Yuma & Hasebe and they did really well to stir some conflict here. So, the story is so nice and heartwarming, although its a little cliche I best shojo avid fan will still love this! Its cute though, the only thing that I dont really like here is the female lead look, she is average and why all the side girl character looks pretty except her? Dont mind, just read this!
The story and characters are a bit generic off the bat. I like the pacing and the direction the story may take. The boys are soo dreamy yet grounded in some of their traits! And chapter 2 decided to add some oomph to the storyline with past playing a role and possible geometric shapes to come in love entanglements... Eeee I can't wait!
Male leads are refreshingly human and endearing even. They're honest, a little mean but still very heartwarming. I have no words at present for the second female lead. She is like ALL other ex girlfriends in the history of shoujo romances... in a word... unnecessary and a plot device and deliberately going out of her way to be unlikeable and a by-the-book villain.
The art is typical Konno Risa: cute without being OTT. Humorous panels aplenty and nice characters, boys aren't boneheaded jerks in public/don juans in private, girls aren't airheads with no restraints on their tear glands. Kawaii hairstyles as well 🙂
EDIT: After reading chapter 6, I feel the pacing is very lackluster. The same dilemma is getting out over multiple chapters when really, it should take a page or two at most!
