Role-reversal - yeah!

I was a bit confused here and there about what was really going on because of awkward wording or something like that. I thought it was silly that they fall in love the way that they did and how Kouma was so super insecure, but I loved the role-reversal at the end. If only this was an explicit manga!!!

Not worth the money

It would had been a great read....if it weren't the Southern accent fortune-teller. Wth were DokiDoki thinking when they translated this? It totally ruined the mood for me and I felt like burning the book that I wasted my money on. I can understand if the fortune-teller had some kind of Osaka accent, but can they at least translate it without making the readers feel a bit awkward?

As for the storyline...it fell flat. I felt bored and icky. Bored because I felt like I was (almost) reading shoujo-cliche and icky because I felt the author's attempt on BL relationship was awkward. Interesting story idea, yet wasn't able to execute it properly. Character developments was the only thing that save this storyline a bit, but not gonna be enough if Fukiyama-sensei want you to pick up this book.

If you want a good storyplot and enjoyment, don't buy. But if have nothing to do and you see this on the shelf, better borrow it from the library or friend.

I picked this one up because the fortune teller and magic shop theme appealed to me. The art is also very nice, and appealing. The story is put together decently well, and flows at a good pace. Kouma is a bit of a flake, especially the way he clings to his girlfriends. They all end up getting smothered by his obsessive personality and dump him. Then one day he meets the fortune teller, Sougo, who tells him he's going to meet someone he's destined to be with soon. This someone turns out to be Sougo, who definitely has some stalker-like qualities. Sougo's works at a magic shop. He also kidnaps Kouma. One would think that with a relationship that started out like this, things would not go well, but......... This was a nice light read. It was a little different than the typical. It's worth reading, unless you only like hardcore BL - which this isn't.
