At first I found this whole (real)gender bender thing somewhat disturbing, but I got over it and found the manga to be surprisingly enjoyable. The sex scenes were ok/good, the character designs ranged from nice to great. The story was kind of enjoyable, the whole sci-fi thing was a bit of a letdown though and the ending was absolutely terrible, I felt reminded of Lilim Kiss which had a very similarly abrupt and unsatisfying (yet happy) ending.

If it wasn't for the badly done sci-fi part and the terrible ending it could've easily scored a 7 to 7.5, I'll have to settle with a 6 though.

Exceptional story which started out great but unfortunately turned out average, hence the slightly above average rating.

It really should have been an hentai as some previous posters have said. Why? Well, put it this way, it would have made for a better manga overall, better sex scenes for instance, that and well the abrupt end wouldent have been so bad.

Storywise it's not half bad, but it's not great either. Art is great, on par with many a hentais out there. It easily surpasses most of the crap thats released today. No complaints there.

What is lacking is the story, and the consistency of the plot. It really leaves us with as many answers in the end as in the beginning, not much progress at all is made, and yeah the ending is rushed unfortunately.

Better sex scenes, better consistency overall and a better ending, and this manga would have been a whole lot better. So yeah, turning this into a hentai and keeping the plot would have made for some damned good hentai, thats for sure.

Like many other people have said, it started out interesting, but the whole sci-fi thing kind of ruined it for me. I felt it was completely unnecessary. Without it, the manga could have developed more smoothly. But there was also an unexpected amount of sex scenes. No genitalia was shown, so it's not hentai, but it was surprising. As for the ending, it was the outcome I wanted, but it felt awfully rushed. Really wasn't enough to get emotional over like other romance endings. Overall, average read. It's short, so if there is nothing else that one is dying to read, spending a few hours reading it won't exactly kill you.

I will have to agree with the others on this one, the whole sci-fi twist that was introduced somewhat lowered the quality and calliber of the story. The beginning idea was interesting and could have been developed better but half way troughout the manga it becomes an explicit show all about sex and doesn't show signs of a plot unil the last few chapters. I am feeling generous so I scored this as a 7 since the art was pretty good and also, even though the story contained sci-fi it still wrapped itself up decently. Don't get me wrong I am a fan of sci-fi but in this plot I thought that using it was a cheap way to explain the situation and create a plot. Also, someone should add the sci-fi tag to this manga..

Unless Gender-Benders Are Your Thing, Skip This One

Let me re-iterate what an earlier reviewer wrote:

what originally seemed like a different kind of story ended up being a big disapointment. seriously, the plot twist (I won't spoil it for you even though it's so stupid) was so lame. The story would have been interesting enough without it.

I agree with this reviewer whole-heartedly, though there are several plot twists he may be referring to that are disappointing. I was okay with the first big plot twist thrown our way, and I could even stand the one thrown our way at the end of volume 4. It all would have been okay if developed better, but what I couldn't stand was the romantic twist at the the very end.

Because I wasn't sure if I wished to continue reading or not, I read the last chapter before I had finished the first volume. Seeing the direction the story was going, I decided to keep on with it to see how something in particular was developed. The answer is that it wasn't. All of a sudden Mako went from doing one thing and having one set of feelings to turning a complete 180.

Further, I was really disappointed in Mako's character when Mako got together with a certain person in the second to last chapter that I felt was an unforgiveable betrayal of character.

I can't see how people rate this as an 8 or 9. I'm giving it a 3/10 and I feel like I'm being generous. It was a major letdown and I'd only recommend this story to people seriously into gender bender stories. The other aspects of the plot -- what little of it there is -- aren't worth sitting around for.

It is perverted and funny. I enjoyed reading this manga. Near the end the story becomes Sci-fi but this is also the style of the mangata (all other mangas from this author also become Sci-fi or Fantasy near the end).

I found the story real fun in the beginning and really would had voted 10 if it continued in the same phase untill the end. however, I was deeply dissapointed with the ending (as everyone else it seem) as thus, I am going to be generous and give it a 9 (the beginning was well worth reading, no reason to diss the whole manga due to the ending).

Like some people already said, the first half part is pretty good. But suddendly it become bad. And just as I thought it couldn't get worst... it gets. The last 2 pages seems like a bad hentai without the hentai.
That's a great manga, but with a disappointing end.
